There is a surprise a Wigan fan going for a Wigan player?
I'll go for Roby then

| Tough one this year, all 3 would be worthy winners.
Tomkins is in a league of his own - as a Wigan fan it's a privilege to watch him do things I've never seen any other players do - he leaves you in stunned silence or laughing in disbelief at times. But he can drift in and out of games and when a team works out how to defend against him his threat is vastly nullified. Has his weaknesses - can make the most stupid mistakes and his confidence under the high ball seems knocked this year.
Westwood is devastating - as a back rower he's up there with the very best. A massive tackler who puts in the hits at the right times, very hard to put down when given a yard, with the hands to compliment everything else, and of course can also kick. Can be a liability with his high shots and penalties.
Roby has a work-rate second to none both in gaining yards and in defence and seems to improve every year with power belying his size, but he can be a one-trick pony. When the markers and A/B defenders are on fire and watching him closely he can be contained fairly simply and his threat nullified.
I think it'll go to Westwood, and fully deserved.

| If I had a vote, I'd vote for Westwood - it must be a bleedin' nightmare to line up in front of him and know that he's going to relentlessly knock the tar out of you for the next 80 minutes.

| I'd vote for Westwood. Not simply as a wire but the fact that we are talking Man of STEEL, and they dont come tougher. The problem that Westwood might have is his lack of game time in recent weeks. Don't know if this will affect the votes.

| 3 obvious choices for me.
From what i have seen both Westwood and Roby have been outstanding but as an opposition fan i fear Tomkins getting the ball every time and has been head and shoulders above the rest for most of the season.

| Do you not have to have made your debut this season to be considered for Young Player? Always thought that was the case.
Tomkins and Hardaker for me too. Been very impressed by Jones but Hardaker has a bit more about him at this moment in time.

Nope, didn't Tomkins win it twice in a row?
Any of the first 3, and Hardaker for me.

| Tomkins best player in Superleague, but not a MAN of STEEL, if I was neutral probably go for Westwood he fits the descript.

| I'm undecided. I don't think Tomkins has played as well this year as last year, although i still think Chase deserved MOS last year. Tomkins can produce sublime bits of play, but i haven't seen him take a big game by the scruff of the neck. Leeds game where he had a bit of a mare and the Warrington game where he didn't do much stick in my mind, but then again so does the game at Manchester where he ripped Saints to pieces. The big games Westwood relishes and normally produces even more then what we normally see. That battle against Hock was worth the Sky money alone. I am a surprised Hock isn't nominated in all honesty.
Westwood for me just but any of them could win it.

This
Westwood is simply a machine, the bigger the game, the better the opposition the more he stands out.
What a second row partnership for England, him and Hock.

| Got to be Westwood, he is an absolute machine. Players must take a look first before running in his direction to try and avoid him.
As good as Tomkins is in attack, he is defensively poor and goes missing in the big games. Needs to improve under the kick and with that his confidence will boost, as if he drops one or two his confidence goes and he goes missing.

He looks a world beater against Mickey Mouse opposition but when put under pressure against better sides he isn't as effective.
England vs Australia.
Wigan vs Warrington.
Wigan vs Leeds.
If you can pepper him with bombs early on, his confidence goes and he isn't the same player.
