| With teams ( the exception being Saints and Huddersfield) having completed a quarter of the season and the early league table taking shape are there any standouts/ under achievers or surprises to date.
Wire surprise me with their early season form. Saints have been under whelming since their brilliant WCC in Oz and Leigh are making good strides since promotion. Castleford apart (who i expected being top half ) the other teams are more or less what i thought pre season.
Thoughts ?

| Warrington having a brilliant start to the season.
Saints, not the greatest at the moment. I am sure it will be business as usual soon for them.
Leigh, 2 great results against Hull FC and Saints. Dare i say it, these are bonus points we really shouldnt have. Wont be scrapping to beat the drop this time.
Castleford, suprised at the form this season.
Wakefield, their first win needs to come quick. Great strides off the field with the stadium. On the pitch though, very poor.
Salford and Leeds, pretty much hit and miss.
The rest are where you would expect them.

| At this stage of the season I didn’t expect Wire to be 6/6.
Saints have been a surprise. I don’t buy into it all being some post WCC blip. I’m not saying they won’t be there or thereabouts, but the style of play which has served them so well up till now has looked limited (and boring).
Leigh have been the real surprise though and well done to Beaumont, he has put together a decent squad and Lam seems to have learnt quite a bit since his Wigan days (or being given more of a free rein).
Salford play a great style of rugby but defence is not a strength.
Hull have been Hull so far, I dare say this will come back to haunt me on Saturday.
Wigan remind me of Wire last season in so far as their pack looks underpowered and as a great sage (oh, ok then it Was Rubber Duckie) said on more than one occasion “packs win pots”.
Wakefield always looked vulnerable and looks increasingly like them or Cas in real danger even at this early stage.
