Yes I think player welfare is very important.
There will be around 50 players making regular Transatlantic flights to and from Toronto in S/L and Ottawa in C1 next season and how this will affect them with Covid and the demands on the body from 8 hour flights is yet to be seen.
The RFL and S/L have no thoughts for the players or the organisational skills to run even a p*ss up in a brewery as has just been shown with the ‘suspension’ for two matches of Jackson Hastings.
Despite Catalans getting Covid the RFL will still send teams from England to France so Guasch can start getting some gate money in. Player welfare naw... not at all. If you enter a UK league it’s tough if you have to play in England behind closed doors.
But in all good conscience how can the RFL risk players travelling to France a quarantined country?
