I have now watched ALL games of super league since its re-start, also quite a few NRL games.
NRL games have the same refereed interpretation as per rule changes.
Super League started good interpretation at all ruck play the balls ie, very little wrestling, slowly but sure deterioration has crept in
by the referees allowing more wrestling instead of shouting held early enough & release quickly to prevent silly play & spoiling tactics by all teams, some more than others.
By the time of the 2nd day last week & Kendal shouting quote, I control the rucks, then came all other refs, allowing more & more
Wrestling, pulling about & leg pulling + lifting, this behaviour is not prevalent in the NRL.
Therefore other than no scrums, & little penalties, is tap & go, we are back to nonsense at ruck tackles where players push & pull
Instead of stop & play the ball quickly !
It's spoiling the game & looks like getting bad again !
