Is it just me, or is there a contradiction (as usual) in what Boris has said today.
From late July, pilots to try out gathering in stadiums, but fans could might only return to stadiums from October. Why would it take 2 months to try the pilot scheme.
Today (17 July) Boris Johnson presented to Parliament the next steps for easing lockdown restrictions and battling coronavirus across England.
From late July, pilots will also be carried out in venues with a range of sizes of crowds to evaluate any further relaxation of the rules. These pilots will focus particularly for events where people would be gathering from different places, including sports stadia and business events.

From October, sports fans could also return to sport stadiums.
The law on industrial action requires at least 51% of the union membership to vote "out".
Given that the majority of clubs have agreed their pay deals, they won't be voting "out".
For localised action e.g. just within Wfd Trinity, the same requirement is in place - it simply ain't happening.
The weak, shambolic nature of the union membership was done for the moment they all started agreeing club-by-club deals. There was never any possibility of strike action.
