The council holds considerably more than that in ‘unallocated reserves’ each year. If they wanted, the WMDC could do the right thing & correct the wrongs they have inflicted on the district tomorrow.

All three clubs have been left to stagnate by the council. Nobody is suggesting they owe either club a living but I for one feel the council should do more to appreciate all clubs in our region. They offer much needed exposure of the region nationally, do a great deal of positive work within communities & bring in a great many visitors, who add much needed custom to the local enconomies.

The fact of the matter is simple, there isn’t the political will to do anything meaningful.

Passing the book over a poor 106 is the easy thing to do. However, if they knew it was such a poor document, why did they sign it? If they were unaware of how poor it was, why would they sign it off without doing due research/seeking legal expertise? Neither scenario paints the council in anything other than incompetence at best & compliance at worst.

A new council, who put the city first, is the only hope going forward.

You don't really have much credence in your argument when you have to twist my words to make a point, I never mentioned everyday inflation I questioned your reasoning that Wakey and Cas were responsible for the stagnation in the rise of the salary cap, and also pointed out that certain clubs were responsible for trying to navigate round it, Wakey's financial ability/inability to keep pace with the cap is their business and their's alone, and only comes into debate when they act irresponsibly by living above their means or transgress the rules by trying to cheat the cap, hope that's a simple enough explanation for you, though I fear it may not.

Also give over with the “Wakefield’s ability to keep pace financially is their business alone” because Wakefield fans pop up questioning other clubs both SL and Championship when it suits....so again cut out the hypocrisy. Your fans don’t seem to mind piping up questioning the finances of clubs who don’t run reserves do you now.
