Taking some teeth out of a players face is not allowed just because they knocked on. If they don't offer a penalty in that situation what's to stop players smashing whoever knocked on in the face and getting away with it?

I didn't see much of that tonight to be fair.you had enough possession and attacking chances to win easily combined with thaler giving you lions share of penalty. Majority of penalties wigan received were in own half.thaler is very sniide in doing this.had a quick read of fc forum and many bemoaning thaler performance but hull got the better side of his calls for most part.its all about opinions and I only watched it on the box but any thaler refereed game he tries to be the star

It would also speed the game up.

Although todays RL is played at a faster pace "than the old days", the ruck area is a joke.

ln my opinion the assaulting player should have been put on report, yellow or red carded, then scrum for the knock on , both teams got what they deserved, anyway there will be a new set of rules again next season.
