As a City fan, and having followed Salford home and away for several seasons, , I feel I am in a good position to answer this question. However, for the sake of peace, I will refrain from entering the debate



I do find it amusing that so many United fans believe they are disliked because they are successful. Maybe that reflects why they support United and possibly the main reason why they developed a rivalry with Liverpool. Ship Canal? My ariss.

I quite like the 2016 Man Utd & my dislike of the successful version was more a personal hatred of Fergie rather than the club. Chelsea are the football side I hate.
As for Leigh, I like to see them do well against Super Duper League sides but realise they are the championship team to beat so every loss increases my own sides chance of being successful. Fev are the only RL side I truly hate

People dont like Leigh because not only not as good as Batley they are not as good as London
