| Agree with a lot of this. Wells feature was brilliant.
Carneys good too, If I were Sky I'd try to get get Dave Woods on board.

| Wells is fantastic as a match analyser. Carney is a great anchor.
Eddie is past it as lead commentator. The less said about Stevo the better. He expired a decade ago as colour commentator.
Some will disagree, but I actually like Rod Studd as a lead commentator. He speaks clearly, can keep up with the plays, is passionate and can pull off an amusing quip at times (unlike Eddie, whose sense of humour was dated even in the 80s).
Phil Clarke is unnecessary. He introduces ridiculous and irrelevant statistics in an attempt to justify his position. Jon Wells would do this better IMO and be able to actually make it relevant with links to his own analysis.
Cummings is also unnecessary. He's only there because Eddie and Stevo don't know the rules, and if you just listen to the VR during replays we wouldn't need a former ref on the team.
Barry and Terry I'm undecided. They don't irritate me as much as other people on here it seems. They're both far better than Stevo, but that's hardly the benchmark of success!
Bill Arthur is a bit bland for me. He's OK, but dull. Good enough for touchline analysis.
I'd get rid of Eddie, Stevo, Clarke and Cummings for sure.

Studd won't be 100% committed to the RL coverage though as he does darts, and when the dart and RL clash, he always seems to be with the PDC doing Sky commentary on whatever tournament they are running.

For me, Wells & Carney are the future of the Sky commentary team.
I don't mind Rod Studd either (streets ahead of bouncin' Bill)... maybe if he got more RL air time, then we'd see him less in Darts? Until that happens, I for one can't blame him for keeping a foot in both camps.
As an aside, if they were to get ousted, Eddie and Stevo could probably secure parts in any future "Supercar, the Movie".

| Letting Eddie and Stevo go is a no-brainer (for mine).
Of the rest of the supporting cast I'd bin Rod Studd - he makes me cringe - Phil Clarke and Terry O'Connor.
I'd have Bill Arthur as main commentator, Brian Carney as host - with some fine tuning - Barrie McDermott, Jon Wells and Stuart Cummings, but I'd have Stuart offer his opinion on as a pundit instead of just a mouth piece for the officials. Perhaps a coach for the technical input, or Wells to continue that.
