Your comparing a club from a smallish city that it shares with another SL club to a club with a whole country of jnr development to pick up from? Yep not apples and oranges at all! I'm pretty sure if Hull kR where the only FT professional RL club in Yorkshire we would have quite a few outside backs developed!
Both our starting centres are jnr developed by the way.

But you have 10 SL other clubs and numerous lower league clubs also producing backs. Les Catalans only have themselves.

The fact is that les Catalans have given far more games to French players they have developed than Hull KR have to British ones they have developed.

And for every talented 16 year old in England they have 11 clubs they can sign for. Talented French Jnr has one. There are not eleven times the number of 16 year olds playing in England compared to France ergo harder to bring talent through for an English club than a French club.

So they should they have a whole country of RL juniors to pick from!

Ps I think both hull clubs are failing in Jnr development in Hull. We used to be a major RL Jnr hotbed and regularly produced international level local players. The current systems don't seem to be able to produce the same quality as 30 years ago for some reason.

But they can only bring through so many at a time. They can only play 2 centres 2 wingers when one goes or fails they have to start all over again Hull kr have multiple other clubs they can take players from. Many many British backs have moved during hull krs time in SL yet they chose to go for players like sio mantellato Blair etc.
