Okay I will explain it. Nearly every tackle in rugby league involves some degree of holding down, as it is part and parcel of bringing someone down to the ground with your body. It is at the referees discretion as to what constitutes an offence and what is normal progress. This is not the case with armed robbery or shop lifting. You either steal from a shop or you don't.
It is my opinion that Child punished us for holding down in a tackle for a period of time that was normal progress. I witnessed Wigan doing the exact same thing and seeing it go unpunished. I wouldn't have punished it, in either occasion. I thought the referee was inconsistent and didn't have control of the game.
It's academic now as it was a week ago and I'm over it. Enjoy your game too.
