| Hull KR claimed the Clive Sullivan Trophy after coming back from 22-6 down to beat arch rivals Hull FC 28-22 at the KC Stadium on Sunday.
The hosts made a flying start with tries from Setaimata Sa and Mark Minichiello before Gareth Ellis had to leave the field with a knee injury.
Rovers took advantage and Kieran Dixon reduced the arrears with a try, only for Minichiello to score his second try and the home side's third before Marc Sneyd added his second conversion.
Hull FC stretched their lead further just after the break with a Fetuli Talanoa try, before Rovers hit back through Kris Welham.
Darrell Goulding reduced the deficit further and Ken Sio's converted try saw the scores locked at 22-22.
Sio's second try of the game, converted by Dixon, proved to be the clincher with early-season bragging rights belonging to Rovers.
St Helens suffered defeat in their first run out of the new campaign as they went down 20-16 to Widnes.
Joe Greenwood, Adam Swift and James Roby claimed tries for Saints, but it was not enough as Paddy Flynn, Patrick Ah Van and Declan Hulme (2) all crossed for the Vikings.
Wigan were beaten 18-14 by Leigh Centurions in Paul Prescott's testimonial.
Liam Kay's hat-trick gave Leigh - last year's Championship winners - the edge, while Josh Charnley, Joe Burgess and Ryan Hampshire claimed tries for Wigan.
Salford Red Devils cantered a 66-4 victory over the Swinton Lions at the AJ Bell Stadium.
Rangi Chase led the way with a hat-trick, while there were also braces for Gareth Hock and Kevin Locke as the hosts ran in 12 tries.
Shaun Robinson scored a consolation try for Swinton.
Castleford Tigers beat Doncaster 32-12 at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Ashley Gibson claimed a brace for the Tigers, who also had tries from Nathan Massey, Ben Roberts, Tom Holmes and Denny Solomona.
Tom Holt and Josh Kittrick responded for the hosts.
Huddersfield's clash at Bradford was postponed due to frost and snow at Odsal.

| Saints 16-20 Widnes. Widnes 8-6 up at the break. 2 pretty strong teams out in the first half. Saints switched and changed a lot in the second half, although so did Widnes giving first team debuts to a number of lads and swapping key positions around
Another sin binning for Widnes. Retaliation (ran in to punch)
Saints player was tackled late and what looked to be next was Wilkin punching somebody on the floor. Was expecting ateast a yellow card (both ways) but only Widnes player got one.
