Quote ="knockersbumpMKII"Sorry, but whatever your feelings on the Hardaker matter, that you retort to mentioning AoHL in relation to it is in extremely poor taste. it shows you that you are unable to make a cogent arguement in support of Hardaker (rightly or wrongly) and are prepared to actually ridicule by way of association an organisation that gives massive support & indeed to those that need it.
I hope you're proud of yourself!

Whooosh... did you hear that? That was the sound of the point this hyperbolic and satirical little post was making as it passed over your head! Y
Let take this one by one shall we, for the hard of understanding.
Firstly, I haven't expressed any feelings about the Hardaker matter (as you call it) and certainly nowhere does this post give you any clue as to my support or not, of Hardaker in realation to it, or for that matter my ability to make a cogent (SIC) (or even coherent) argument in any way. What you have done there is make an assumption, and we all know the old adage about ASSUME making an ASS out of U or ME.
By the way, you can ask my opinion if you like... it might surprise you!
Second, can you please point out where I ridicule, by association or otherwise, AoHL in my post? Oh, yes that's right, I don't! The point of the post, which went straight over your head, was to make a hyperbolic point using a fake satirical post about a small but vocal section of RL supports who have charged, and then found someone guilty, on the basis of at best weak circumstantial evidence. The sub-point of course, is that many have only done that as he is regarded as being a very good player and because he does not play for the club they support, they are using faux outrage of homophobia to justify this in their own warped weak minds.
The third point of course, is that I had to use AoHL as it would not have made sense to have used, say the RSPB, who I understand don't have much use for volunteer lip-readers to help support the wonderful work their equally wonderful organisation does.
Finally, you don't have to preach to me about the wonderful work AoHL do. I have personally benefited from the work they do and when I worked, some time ago now admittedly, at Leeds City Council alongside two deaf colleagues, it is them who supported me to learn to sign and lip-read. Before you ask, I am very rusty on both and only use signing to occasionally help random people I meet in supermarkets and stuff who need help communicating, so no, I have no clue what he says after he says the very obvious word before it!
Actually, this is my final point. You have fallen in to my cunning trap that I didn't even realised I had set... you too are using faux outrage, at my clearly tongue-in-cheek post, to further attack Hardaker for something we don't yet know he has done!
Well done, I hope you are proud of yourself?
