One of the often heard excuses for the ANZAC population of West London not turning up at Griffin Park or The Stoop was that it was either "too far" or a "Bugger to get to"........
Shepherds Bush to Brentford on the 237 bus is 17 minutes, whilst the Bush to the Stoop involved a change of Bus and another 11 minutes and then a 5 minute walk.
It seems that arriving in London changes the make-up of these ANZACS who think nothing of driving 1000km's to visit relatives or flying across the Tasman to watch games, but who won't get on a double decker for 30minutes to catch some RL?
To answer the OP, the Walkabout Temple WC2R 2PH would be the most central bar that will be showing most sports. Failing that, pop up to the Hive on Thursday (it's on the silver underground line
) and ask any of the 300 or so fans who will be there where they all meet to watch games.
