Quote ="CRAIG 73"Two things that give Briscoe the edge over Charnley for me. First is tackle busts, Briscoe has one of the highest number of tackle busts in SL, when bringing the ball back Briscoe is more likely to make the break. Secondly, Briscoe is more likely to make something out of nothing. '"
This is wrong really, yes Briscoe has more tackle busts than Charnley (86-75), but charnley has loads more clean breaks (35/19). So charnley is much more likely to make a break.
As you like to select certain stats to suit your point here a few more:
They both average 9.1m per carry.
Charnley works much harder with carries (383-28icon_cool.gif, and tackles (181-103), tackle success Charnley 89.16%, Briscoe 91.15%
Total superleague 2013 appearences Charnley 28, Briscoe 27.
Tries and assist Charnley Again, (34-16) and (7-2)
Briscoe does smash Charnley in terms of offloads (23-9), and has one less penalty (6-7).
Quote ="CRAIG 73"Charnley is a great finisher but how many tries does he make for himself? For me when you're playing on the right wing as Briscoe will be ( Hall rightly has the left wing spot tied up), its important to be able to make your own chances as teams generally play more down their left flanks.'"
You contradict your self, you say you need to create more yourself on the right as most teams go left yet charnley who plays on the right can't create a thing for himself but has 34 tries and Briscoe who plays on the left so has to create less for himself has 16.
Also unless i've watched a different team this year Charnley has score plenty from range.
Briscoe is good but Charnley is better.
