So there's plenty of parking at the named park & ride places - West one & irlam?
For the Eng vs Italy friendly (there's two hours of my life i'll never get back) I managed to get into the airport parking, but this is a work night so I'll be cutting it a bit fine.

Should be a great game. I was originally disappointed at the prospect of this fixture before the competition started, now I can't wait. I was told over 6,000 tickets had been sold as of yesterday so hopefully with walk ups and late buyers we should have another decent RLWC crowd.

Obviously the parking fiasco might put people off, but Eccles RL and RU both offer secure car parking and is only 15/20 minute walk (time you would have spent getting off the car park anyway) so it really isn't a massive issue.

Plenty at West One, though the bus from there is still subject to possibly getting stuck in traffic. I'd generally suggest Eccles ARLFC as the money stays in RL and you generally walk past stationary traffic to the ground anyway.

Anyone know if the shuttle bus leaves promptly after the game? Or how long they take?

Or any taxi's outside? I realise the car park is closed, but it might not stop it.

Because I would really like to make the 2204 from Irlam so i can get back to Liverpool before ridiculous o'Clock in the morning!

So guess what i'm asking is, has anyone had any experience in this at all? Besy way to do it?

The shuttles usually leave about 15 minutes after the hooter.

There is a taxi rank in front of the west stand, but traffic is usually held back until pedestrians have cleared. Taxis can come in via the stadium approach road and turn round in front of the training pitches. It might be worth you pre-booking a cab when you get there (there is a poster on the Southern end of the West Stand for the Stadium Co's preferred provider) to pick you up outside the traffic closure zone (check with a steward when you get there - then double check with another two because they are generally useless).
