What happened to the captains speach?

Lockers made a speech in 2010 so I presume they've just changed the format.

Probably changed it as no one outside of Wigan can understand a word Wiganers say.

I was thinking the same thing last night, I guess it's because Leeds didn't win it.

Either people complain that the captains say the usual run of the mill robotic thank you's, or they wet themselves with anger when Sinfield broke from the script and showed some emotion with his "tonight's for you" line.

They only started to present the trophy in the stand in 2003, until then there was always a podium built on the pitch.
In this years Grand Final and Cup Final both pre-match and post match were more muted than recent years. I assume the RFL are saving their money for spectacular pyrotechnics in the World Cup.
