Thanks guys. It certainly wont be easy but this bunch of players are being treated like pro's so nothing is being left to chance. One thing that will be important though is the "18th Man" - so we need to get as many people to Colchester on game days to give their support to the lads - As the British Public always do for their Armed Forces.
Tuggles - Green death do come under the Royal Navy banner.
Yep we have come along way since been recognised back in 97. Alot of hardwork by a few indviduals combined with backing by some very Senior Officers. We have some very good players some are ex Superleague or Championship players that just didnt quite make it in the pro game, so decided to join up get paid a good wage & continue to play footy and for the very best represent their Country . I suppose the highest profile ex CS player is former RM Jordan James, currently playing at Salford.
The Royals play an annual game against the Para's, which is always tasty but always of a high standard. The interservice tournament is a close run thing, with no run away scores (as with the Union tournament) in fact we have had a few years when we had to go by points difference to decide the winners. All been well we will be streaming this years Interservice Tournament live on the internet! Exciting times for Rugby league in the Armed Forces.
