Quote ="knockersbumpMKII"bring back full on contested scrums with no feeding to the LF as well as the unlimited tackle rule & we have a winner.
It's pretty clear to all but those who choose not to look why we have high scoring games more than ever, however seeing this as a weakness in the sport is bonkers. Take the Brazilian soccer attitude back in the day, we might concede a lot of goals but we'll score more than you, that seemed to work pretty well for them.'"

I would also be looking at introducing two extra forwards.'"
Why not go all the way and bring back line-outs ...
Not sure why anyones knocking the lower leagues for high scoring games? Wouldn't the prospect of expressive attacking plays attract more support that a low scoring slog involving NRL style trench warfare ? or 5 shoves from dummy half and a kick & chase until someone makes an error.
surprised no ones mentioned the reduction in interchances impacting on results , Also a few SL teams have noticeably gone for a more expansive style of play this season. Defenses will tighten up as the season progresses , especially the clubs with bigger squads once they are able to suss out the attacking ploys of their oppos .
Clubs operating on smaller squads picking up injurys may end up on a few hidings .
