Quote ="Him"So you seriously think after about 2 seasons in top grade rugby league that Sam Tomkins should be classed as a "great player"? To be ranked up there with the likes of Lockyer, Fittler, Wally Lewis? Or simply the mere British greats like Edwards, Hanley, Offiah, Schofield, Farrell, Sculthorpe, Morley etc?
After 2 seasons? Really? That might make you out to look a bit stupid.
It might be more reasonable to suggest that he's a young lad, has great potential and has had 2 good seasons in a good team.
Indeed they do. Some of your fellow Wigan fans should be ashamed of themselves.'"
Sam is already a great player. He was fantastic in the GF last year at the ripe old age of 20 and imo was the lynch pin in Wigans success over the entire season. When you have a player like this, they inspire confidence in the rest of the team and bring out their best, this is what Sam does. My knowledge isn't just based on the last 2 years but on the last 8 years and it was as obvious then as it is now that he's a real true talent.
I accept that supporters of any team he plays against will dislike him, because he's so good but I object when he's called a rat and a coward
