Erik, this isn't me trying to score points, but a serious question. How is it greedy and insensitive to use money earmarked for development projects that are actually in the form of a loan? The money will be paid back with i am sure minimal interest. This money isn't even allowed to be used for paying for things that are going to be cut.

I don't know all of the in and outs of the case, but I am glad that Rovers are finally developing the ground into something worthwhile. We will finally have a stand for the away fans to watch the game from that will have a good view and be under cover (the north stand). So all in all it is progress, unfortunately, there are some people that let their hatred stop them from seeing this.

Must be the worst 'Village People' tribute on the circuit....

Think the RM stand was built like that in 1989 because the money for the old ground wasn't used with the club in mind by those that had power over it!

The North stand pictures show that executive boxes will be built connecting the two stands together and hopefully in the future when a South stand is built the same will be done while not extending the stand its self at least the corporate facilities will be greatly improved. I think by 2015/16 we should see 4 proper sides to the ground, nearer the pitch and much better facilities for everyone. Maybe in 10yrs time they'll knock down the RM stand and start again.

As someone’s previously said, some clubs travel well away and some don't. Admittedly the standard of ground probably sways some fans but I can honestly say if I want to watch my team I couldn’t really care less if they’re at the Jungle/Odsal or DW/KC.

I appreciate some of the superleague grounds do need improvements though and HKR seem to be slowly but surely getting there, would be a tad boring if every team had a Haliwell Jones in different colours though.

I would like to hope they have the foresight to have the strengh in the new north stand secion that goes around the corner so as to make it possible for us to just remove the super structure when houses the seats in the RM stand and replace it with one that is full length.
