Quote ="Harrigan"Who has the ball there? If its the Cronulla player then the Manly player isnt even shoulder charging. Thats an elbow to the head and a totally different thing.'"
to be honest it doesnt matter who has the ball the manly player is leading with the forearn/elbow to the head which makes it an illegal hit anyway

| Stevo is such a contradicting idiot he managed to contradict himself this week a good couple of times, Thursday he was spouting off on SSN that the shoulder charged should be banned, tonight he was wetting himself praising every single shoulder charge in the game, just retire Stevo.

| Ban the shoulder charge? no its part of our game being a more exciting sport than union. Occasionally it may go wrong and a player may get hurt but the same is true of any tackle.
i'm more worried about chicking wing tackles that still go on and have resulted in a number of shoulder injuries.

| Lets ban the normal tackle because people get injured and arm,legs,finger,noses, jaws get broken plus the concussion.
Let's make it a TAG game and anyone caught fighting should be banned for life, while we are at it there must be a 50% qouta of women playing.
Only bright girly colours are allowed in kit design and open a Top Shop in every stand.

Quote ="Cronus"Yep. This one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HCyzM0V ... re=related
If Cassidy's was bad, at least he had the balls to give it face to face and while he was running the ball. Morley takes McCormack high, from behind, off the ball.
Yes, a dirty shot from Cassidy, but what goes around...'"
Where did you get those cherry and white tinted spectacles from?
Morley's is a badly timed reckless attempt at a big hit (fairly typical of the hot headed youthful Mozza to be frank). It wasn't "off the ball" it was late...there's a huge difference (Moz didn't expect McCormick to drop the ball). It also was only "from behind" (not against the rules BTW) because McCormick turns his back..do you expect Morley to run around McCormick and tackle him "from the front"
Cassidy's "tackle" on the other hand is an out and out assault - he has such "balls" that he targets the Mozza's head as thrid man in- yes it fills your special criteria of "from the front but Mozza can do nothing at all to get out of the way or avoid the elbow contacting his head.
Morley was very very lucky not to come out of that without a serious injury.

Quote ="Cronus"Quote ="BrisbaneRhino"Morley flattened the Wigan hooker (McCormack?) very early with a very hard tackle which may have been a bit high. It certainly upset the Wigan team. However, there was absolutely no excuse for what Cassidy did - he clearly went in with the sole intention of causing damage to Morley. Not hurt but damage. The only other tackle I've seen in my time which was similar was Paul Moriarty on Hugh Waddell, which smashed Waddell's jaw.
I'm glad we don't see play like that often from anyone.'"
McDermott on Sironen.

So from your response to Brisbane Rhinos post are we to assume that you consider McDermott on Sironen to fall into that (thankfully) rare category of aiming to damage not hurt (I'd agree FWIW) but you see fit to defend Cassidy as having "Balls" for assaulting Morley???!?
