From the list I would say Players switching nationalities, lack of Media coverage, sometimes refereeing standards, rules of the game in terms of rule differences between SL and NRL and then having different interpretations for Internationals. Also the over-emphasis on 'expansion' as the best way of improving the sport.
Clubs' nonsensical obsession with very mediocre overseas players at the expense of decent junior development.
All clubs bending the rules on overseas players to the point that the supposed reduction in overseas players across SL will take years longer than it should. All for the sake of maybe one win a year.
Fans moaning every year about how finishing top of the league at the end of the season somehow makes them the champions despite this obviously not being the case. Wigan this year. Sts last year.
Same said fans bemoaning playoffs as not being 'traditional' despite the relatively short time in the history of the game when top of the league equalled being champions.
People moaning about the franchise system despite it being the only way for a number of clubs to actually look beyond the end of the current season and providing some degree of financial certainty for clubs both within and without SL.
Australian and British RL fans who couldn't give a t*ss about the game outside the narrow confines of their own club.
Another irritation is SL and NRL operating different rules on minor things like -
SL stopping the clock when teams form a scrum and keeping it stopped when they break away, when the NRL restart the clock the second a player breaks out.
Having two referee's in the NRL and only one in SL.
Surely things like this should be simply made as a "World Set of Rules"....as a sport it's plain embarrasing!
