When the Dobbins come to the KC its a big crowd. Thats all money in the bank for Hull FC. Same as when we venture across the city to play at their place...a big crowd...it makes them money. And the lesser team in Kingston upon Hull need all the financial help they can get to pay Paul Cooks fines and all the compo for FC for allegedly enticing him away to the cheap side of town. Clubs like Leeds, Wigan etc etc usually bring a fair amount of away fans to the KC as well. Obviously a lot of this is to do with the fact they like watching a REAL team play the game for a change and not just because the KC is such a great place to watch Rugby league in.
And then there are clubs like Harlequins. About 15 or 20 away fans. Think how much money this is costing my club. God knows how many will come when the Crusaders come to hull. I think the old 'Celtic' side brought about 4.
Clubs like these are costing my club money. Widnes and Featherstone would at least bring a few hundred.
