9's and 7's are both great to watch but, neither come close to watching your own side on a Friday night (or Sunday afternoon).
Maybe there is a market for it but, honestly, how many people would pay and travel to watch a club 9's competition.

We always used to go to the Wigan 7's back in the day but, whilst it's good fun, I dont see it as a serious thing.

However, if they ran a few games prior to the Challenge Cup final (assuming it was possible), it could help with crowds, both in terms of numbers and getting them into the stadium for longer ?

It's like a poor mans RL version 20/20 . Cant imagine the crowds would be replicated like magic weekend generally is.

That's not to say I wouldn't be interested in it but not to replace magic.

Maybe have a 9s comp with the teams that don’t make the play offs.
