| Best player in the league by a mile last year but he's gone backwards since he moved to Warrington - what's happened? His natural flair just isn't there anymore - is it being coached out of him?

| Its quite a common symptom that has passed through other clubs. Its called the Richard Agar effect. Where talent is coached out of the window.

| He never wanted to leave Cas.
He was forced into going due to Cas needing the cash.
Rumour I heard was Warrington were trying to get out of the deal but Cas couldn't find the cash to pay back to Warrington, that and the fact he was absolutely on fire last year.

| He plays off the back of a quick PTB and with the gash wire forwards he's struggling.
Really poor squad management has brought warrington to the depths they're at now. Looking at their squad I'd say only hill, clark and maybe monaghan would be wanted by any of the other teams in the top 8. Decent players have left and not been replaced

This is the thing though - Cas didn't exactly have the greatest pack last year but he used to produce that little bit of magic play out of nowhere. I just don't understand how that talent can disappear.

| Even Monaghan is the shadow of the player he was last year.

Cas finished 4th on the ladder and got to wembley last year. Their pack was fine. wire look likely to finish outside the 8 this year unless they have a miraculous upturn in form and only have 1 decent forward. cam smith would struggle to shine in that team

| I’m personally disappointed that Warrington have failed to kick on, I was hoping another club could win the G.F rather than the usual suspects.
I enjoyed watching their style of play, but after tonight’s game they looked decidedly mediocre.
The failure to replace Briers with a class halfback looks to be a massive factor, but they look a jaded outfit all across the park.
I have the utmost respect for Tony Smith however, I think it’s time for a change, it looks like he’s taken the club as far as he can & it looks a little stale.
As for Daz Clark, it just looks to be a bad fit, he’s joined a team that’s on the wane, ironically leaving a team on the up.
Perhaps Moran should invest in getting Powell to steer the ship rather than the latest new kid on the block to pull on the primrose & blue.

| To clear up the Wire tried backing out/ Cas couldn't afford to rumour.
Daz was sat down, Cas offered wire their money back plus compensation which they agreed to accept begrudgingly. And Daz a monster payrise to stay. But. He still wanted to go as he thought it'd get him to the NRL quicker.

can't argue with any of that. Big re-build required.
