Oh come off it. Of course the tackle is worse, but it's pretty topical to talk about ref decisions straight after the match. Ferres should get banned for a long time.

Should get the maximum possible ban (Bar a permanent one). Deliberate, completely intentional lift, turn and drive. And in the context of the game, what an utter fool.

Danny Brough a close second. Three efforts at a drop goal less than 15 metres out and he misses them all, awful.

it was actually quite abit worse than the tackle which caused mckinnons injury. Ferres was also in control of the tackle there was no second or 3rd man in.

Frankly, ferres should have the book thrown at him and should suffer the maximum possibly penalty.

McLean received seven matches for an innocuous looking tackle on McKinnon, the Ferres one was very dangerous.

Shame the game ended with such controversy, how Bentham could judge the Brough drop goal from where he was stood I’ll never know.
