A good trainer is invaluable to players.

Surely the players are capable of putting on attacking moves without the trainer direct the play?

If a trainer only did that then I'd agree, ask Rooster Booster on the full list of their roles and how they prioritise them.

If it wasn't a important role some of the greatest players ever to play the game wouldn't agree to do it.

Out of interest do people on here know what a blue, orange or yellow jersey's allowed to do and when they can do it?

Other then get in the way of the opposition and fill any gaps in defence? Least, thats what a Wigoon fan told me following the StG-Illa game

Dont we have slightly different rules over here (SL) and I kno we had a couple of high profile incidents with trainers interupting play.

So, invaluable to the players or spectator irritant?
Spill it! Without giving any secrets away obviously.

In Oz, a very brief description.

BLUE - allowed on to run messages, when team is in possession of ball. When it turns over, you're meant to get off the pitch.

ORANGE - main medical man, allowed on any time. Obviously can run a message if the blue's already out there and the coach wants to get another one out. Or simply give a message whilst out treating an injury.

YELLOW - allowed on only in a break in play. Or when there's more than one injury and the Orange is out treating the first.



The NRL does fine clubs for other minor infringements. Like handing in the team sheet, even 1 minute late can cost. Or, if a player doesn't place the interchange card in the officials hand and drops it. Technically he's not allowed on and the club will get a fine.

And we would ask Rooster Booster this why precisely?
