| Would reducing the number of interchanges in Super League from 12 to 10 help to make for a more even Super League or would it only widen the gap between the big 5 sides (you know who you are) and the rest. The NRL has 10 interchanges and is looking at the possibility of going down to 8, and I'm not saying we should look to copy whatever happens in Australia but maybe we should look at the merits of a reduced interchange system, were it to level the field a little. Maybe trial it in the Championship or NRC competition.

| What would the point be in reducing them? Other than increasing the risk of player injury?

It can open the pitch up a bit since players would be slightly more tired than they are now. Considering the rather drab nature of some games last season I would think it's certainly worth taking a look at.

| Would help to foster the idea of one game worldwide.
Players going off when injured rather than being spelled.
At the minute a lesser team for example Wakefield can see off a few minutes pressure from a team like Huddersfield, but then can bring on a fresh interchange and steamroller through. I know that will happen regardless, I just reckon there may be a case for reducing the spelling of prop-forwards because they have the interchanges up their sleeves.
At international level we see the step up and the group isn't helped by the fact that the guys they are playing against will spend more time on the field because of the rules. Percentages don't win you matches but when we have the weaker team these factors can't be ignored, or at least looked at.

| Most interchanges are tactical, and with regards to injury there were less injuries with unlimited interchanges. I am just putting it out there that we look at revising the laws of our game to make a for a better spectator sport, this may be one.

I hate it when they 'trial' things in the Championship. Especially as half the time they never seem to make a decision on how the 'trial' has gone.
Like the 'Bonus Point' and 3 point win rules that have been in the CC's for years now. Is it working? If so then put it in SL too. If it isn't then scrap it in our League. IMO it is a stupid rule as you shouldn't be rewarded for losing a match. But surely they need to either expand the rule to SL or just get rid of it.
We shouldn't have different points scoring systems between leagues. Not for this length of time anyway.

Was the bonus point and three point win introduced and intended to revamp the Championship, not as a trial to see if it works before putting it into Super League?

Possibly. I don't see how the new system is any more exciting than the SL one though. If it isn't a trial then it seems to have been changed just for the hell of it. As it stands the Championship as a league is far, far more exciting than SL IMO (although obviously the quality of player is reduced) and I hope the RFL have the sense to leave it as it is and not start throwing in new rules or league formats.

Couldn't agree more. There are some weeks when I would look forward to Sheffield V Widnes (for example) more than say, Bradford V Hull FC.

| Its in the Championship because a few years ago the top tonked the bottom by 70 most weeks. It offers an incentive while most of the time not altering the league all too drastically.
At Chp level it works.
I like the idea of reduced interchanges, go for it
