| Angered by the feeling that the RFL took advantage of the Bulls financial position Chris Caisley has threatened to 'walk' the Bulls out of Odsal down to VP for a ground share, unless the terms of the tenancy are renegotiated to be even handed.
At last some leadership!

| Took advantage of our position?
They lent us £700,000 and we never bothered to pay back a single penny of it.

| Walk? From Odsal to VP?
Doesn't he realise how far far away it is? Not to mention the danger. They'll never make it there alive.

| If what I have heard was to be true, that the council have given BPA a substantial lease on Horsfall Stadium, with permission to do away with the running track,it would be a good time for the Bulls and the Avenue to get together and try and get Horsfall up to some kind of mutual standard and ground share there, maybe the season after next.
Then I woke up,Oh no dreaming again.

Fighting tonight, for your pleasure, in the first of an unspecified number of no holds barred matches for the vacant title of Champion of Bradford Bulls Survival......
In the RED amber & black corner after his one round knock-out over the previous champion is your own, your very own Chris "The Crusher" Caisley
In the black corner representing the Rest Of The World is first up target The RFL.
SECONDS OUT, ROUND 1
[iSo how do you think this first bout will go Frank?
I dunno Harry its a strange match-up so early in the series but the Crusher usually knows who to fight and when and invariably picks his home ground.
What's the strengths and weaknesses of these two then Frank?
Well Harry RFL is cumbersome and prone to defensive errors as we've seen in their fight against Widnes but they do pack a massive punch if they can land it.
On the other hand The Crusher is a dodger, light on his feet, with clever feints before delivering his trademark legal left hook that comes from nowhere.
So, Frank, do you expect a k.o. blow from either of them this time.
Not this time Harry, I think after some posturing it will be a draw, but a rematch is definitely on the cards unless their camps can come to an agreement
So why did the Crusher take this fight Frank.
Only he will know Harry, but he might gain fight supporters in his home camp as being the only fighter left fit for the title. He might be throwing down the gauntlet to his Rest of the World opponents that he is up for a fight

| [iDon't forget Harry, last time the Crusher picked a fight it was against Garry 'Big Gaz' Hethrington and that loss by KO nearly cost the Crusher his career and definatly destroyed his reputation. I can only see one winner and that my friends is the RFL.[/i

My request too.
For this and his earlier post, which sounded like it had come via Mr Noble.
"Leadership"? Or a very high risk strategy of picking a fight with your landlord and the game's governing body, on whose goodwill you will likely need to depend?
I'm not sure there are many precedents for successfully renegotiating a contract just because one party to the contract was in a weaker position than the other - or because its directors were maybe naïve or just crap? But I guess a senior litigation lawyer has as much chance of succeeding as anyone?

| If true any sympathy and good will from the other clubs will go out of the windw. Arrogance from a positon of strength is unnaccetable but at this moment in time strewth. I hope he's got his facts right remember Iestyn.

Interesting point. Has any rugby league club with a lawyer on the bridge ever picked a major legal fight, if so, how did it go?

| What 'sympathy' from what Cubs?
I have none.
Nor do I for BDMC who have supported Northern through thick and thin to the detriment of other BDMC sporting clubs!
Quote 'As ye sow, so shall ye reap''"
Your incompetent Directors have thrown-away your true supporters' hard-earned and taxed cash whilst failing to pay their rightful dues!
How many of your supporters fail to pay their Income Tax and PAYE and yet pay their taxed income to support Directors who have been less-than informative about the TRUE situation at Odsal?
Roll-on the decision and the same result that was inflicted on Crusaders.
That said - the RFL will manage to squirm out of taking such a decision for whatever reason they deem to be rightful in their consideration.
That said, if they do, then the RFL should be denied any taxpayers funding in future for whatever purpose and I will make it my sole purpose in life to ensure that they are!

| Perhaps Caisley's so called hardball is him spitting the dummy out again, he is just trying to deflect opinion of himself when the outcome of the revue is concluded and probably the flack he will get from Peter Hoods version in todays media! All very sad and it is not taking the Club forward! Might as well enjoy the verbal jousting it as its not going away!

| If he were to prove that the deal is legally invalid, doesnt that just mean that we have to give back the £1.25m + VAT? Would any court actually set more favourable terms?

He's probably just asking/trying to get the rent reduced, it'll probably have the same outcome of Mark Lawn's annual attempts to do the same thing at Valley Parade, though the RFL do have a big vested interest and will probably be a little more favourable if the rent is really crippling the club.

None - definition: "not any".
Hmmm, I'm pretty sure there were one or two other people sitting near me the last time we regularly played home fixtures down there.

One line from his diatribe suggests he might be a malcontent Lawkholme laner, seems to be the usual sort of rhetoric..

| The RFL certainly has shown preference to clubs in the past - London and Crusader that we know about - and I think what they have done with the advances and ground purchase must be close to what they are allowed to do for a particular club.
But even if the Bulls have contrived to get themselves into bad position with the new lease is the best way to agree more manageable terms to go public in this way with the body which will be making the franchise allocations in the next few years?
Even in this 24 hour sound bite culture we live in there is still a lot to be said for quiet diplomacy.

| Not surprised, or even find much wrong, about the RFL helping 'development area' clubs, but the Bulls aren't in that category, so it doesn't really make a precedent imo. That doesn't mean they should be awkward with clubs though. The trouble is that this kind of statement is just the sort of thing which elicits a response, and then we get into another slanging match; as if we haven't enough bad publicity with the shareholders doing their dirty washing in public.
Of course, I did ask the OP for a link to this story and as yet, zippo! Which maybe tells us all we need to know? If there is any truth in it then it should probably have been picked by the news organisations by now.
