| There's one at the Uni, I think about £3.50 for one of those small paper cartons, students bloody queue for it. It just looks lke mass produced curries that are re-heated until sold.

I just don't trust any business occupying the ground floor of a railway bridge tunnel like that. An arch you can just about get away with....

| Takeaway delivered from the Kamran in Halifax last night (via Just Eat).
Shami kebabs ok but no better than that.
Popadoms quality. Complimentary dips and salad too.
Garlic Naan, pretty good. Not overboard with the garlic but enough to taste it.
Keema Madras curry tasted ok for a takeaway but nowhere near a restaurant quality. Nowhere near hot enough for a Madras and a bit too much oil but it wasn't bad.
Aside from that it was almost cold when it arrived, but I think that's more with me being on the cusp of the delivery area so it takes longer to get here!
On the large downside, I have now had 4 visits today and I'm not convinced it's over yet.

| Kamran's is more somewhere to go before a night out I would say! It's decent without being owt special.
Heard Sultan Mahal is one of the better ones in Fax centre but I've not tried it myself just recommended by a friend, I've got a truly awesome curry house 86 paces from my front door.

That's also the dish I've got the last couple of times I've been there. Say what you want about the restaurant, but that dish is out of this world.

| Drove past the K2 on Lumb Lane yesterday afternoon at 4pm and the shutters were down. I'm hoping that it was shut and not closed down permanently. Does anyone know anything? I'd be devastated if it's gone, we've been going there for years and years.

We tried to get into Akbars this week and it was rammed, so we went to Zouk instead. This was the decision of the decade. The special karahi I had was one of the best curries I can remember. Everyone had top notch food, it was spot on.

| I miss Bradford Curry Brick Lane just isn't the same, even with the 'deals' you're offered by the blokes touting for business outside.

| Thanks to whoever recommended the 3 Singhs on this board.
Took the wife there last night and enjoyed a fantastic meal.
Started off with Malia Chicken and Paneer Tikka (both quite spicy) followed by a Saag Paneer and a 3 Singhs special.
Washed down with a bottle of Lanson.
Absolutely lovely.
Only slight downside is that the inside looks a bit working mens club.

| The curry house on Manchester road above Friar tucks is open from 11am on match days and has put a poster up welcoming Bradford Bulls fans. I wonder if they know we have such a famous curry guide on this forum and could drive some discounts
That said I'm more of a curry on a friday man than a sunday lunchtime

Its really nice especially the more obscure dishes on the menu plus you also get 10% discount if you show your membership card. Bloke is very welcoming and is willing to talk you through some of the more unusual dishes.

| I'm very picky when it comes to curry, so here's what I think (this is all my opinion and not that of rlfans)
I gave the one on Manchester road a go and the quality of chicken was very poor.. I ordered a vindaloo and it was like a corma.
3 Sings, good quality chicken, nice and spicy. The sauce reminded me of the one on great horten road next to the Indian working men's club, which by the way is better if you eat in.
Spicy Cottage, a fave of mine.. Good quality chicken . You must eat in though as they take extra time over your food.
Future Bolti, chicken not that good, I got chillies chicken, nice deep flavours.
Mumtaz, QUALITY.. you get what you pay for!

Last time I was in there I curried bone with slivers of meat attached. To be fair though, Microsoft paid for it.

Never really liked the Mumtaz, never made to feel very welcome and no beer. I think that the best no beer "asian style" food is served at the Punjab where the staff are very welcoming.
Although its obviously down to personal taste I think that the Spicey cottage is the curry equivilant to a greasy spoon cafe and i found the quality of the meat to be average at best.
I spoke to the bloke at Awahd about the vindaloo because I was a bit worried it would be too hot for me and he explained that the vindaloo curries served in most curry shops were an invention for the brits in which they just add a shed load of chilli powder so that the punters can proove how tough they are. Apparently the vin in vindaloo refers to the viniger it is marinated in previously to being cooked. I enjoyed it and found it spicey but not offensive.

Your right about the vinegar, but it’s not a Brit invention. It was introduced to India by the Portuguese settlers when they brought chillies over with them. Until then Indian cooking used pepper for heat.

I meant the vindaloos sold in most curry shops were a brit invention as they bear no resemblance to the genuine article. But im crap at expressing myself.
