| What people need to understand is that the board are like me in seeing 2011 as the 1996 all over again.
We have a good average attendance to work on for the coming seasons and with a successful side which I feel Mick Potter will delvelop the support will increase back to the 10,000/12,000 average.
All we need now is the Council next Thursday to say yes to the OSV.

It's a pledge, It's not a contract. Like with "Children in need" etc. You're not obliged to pay.
However, they may put your name in the window if you don't cough up.

| Quote ="The Biffs Back"IMO the Bulls are quite rightly trying to stop the recent decline in attendances, which is a very good idea in principal
Afterall, "hypothetically" if you reached the magical 10,000 fans and they all signed up to paying £60 for the standing up option, Then this will only bring in £600,000 which wouldn't sustain a SL club in the long term would it not?How many seasons does this excellent offer last for, have you been told?
If it is for next season only, then the club are clearly hoping that all the season ticket holders will have "the bug" and will return the season after when prices may have to rise slightly and in each subsequent season
If this offer is to be rolled out past next season then the Bulls obviously want to potentially fill the ground to capacity every week and thus reap the rewards in other marketable areas such as merchandising and match day takings inside the ground etc
Obviously the Bulls have done their maths and i applaud them in their efforts to bring those big crowds back once again'"
Unless the shortfall is been underwritten by someone.

| Quote ="Spannerz"Quite a few of thsoe pledges will be for the £99 tickets so the 600,000 would increase significantly.'"
I know that, but the fact that i was trying to make was that the club are clearly hoping for far more than 10,000 fans signing up for this deal are they not?
Going by your reply and assuming that all 10,000 fans bought the £99 pass then that is still not enough to sustain a SL club at the top level is it not?
I'm no mathematician, but i am sure that the club has one, and that these subsequent season ticket figures will enable the Bulls to shop at the "top table" yet again

In fact, I have persuaded myself and pledged for 2 tickets! That second bottle might prove quite expensive!

| One pledge from me, and I will be doing some major badgering of people who I know come to the big games and those at the start of the season when optimism is high.
My only wonder is if we don't hit the 10k mark.............what happens then?

| I'd like to hear about some new signings soon to persuade the fans to purchase a membership. I mean even with this years squad next year i'd buy one at £60.

Just buy a normal one rather than cheaping out trying to get a student one. £60 is cheaper than this years concession ticket anyway.

If someone was willing to make such a pledge to the club that covers this shortfall, then why would that necesitate a cheap season ticket deal, i don't buy this?
EG: if they offered you £500,000 if you reduced your season tickets for next season?
Then why wouldn't they still offer you the same £500,000 sum and keep the prices as they were this season, what have they gained?
The club would also be " this ammount " better off would it not?

Because only the £60 or above pledges count towards the 10k figure.
I can't honestly believe anyone would want a further discount? Surely you're taking the pee?

TBH i think the whole purpose of this deal is simply to get more people back through the gate.

Why would it be taking the mick to get cheapest option available too myself?

I'm not taking the student rate, i'm happy to be part of the new era and my £60 (already cheap enough!!!) will be helping us reach 10,000

You do what you want with your money.
Had to fork out a tenner today for the away shirt, on the back of free entry!

It wasn't a dig at you btw! If that's all you can afford, then that's fair enough, I'm sure the club will be glad of your support either way.
Just take note though, you'd be pretty peed off if the club were 1 person short of 10,000 so you had to pay £80 for a student ticket anyway!!
I just urge as many people as possible to sign up - it will be good to run with the Bulls next year (and there'll be alot more of them!!)

Well you're entitled to do as you wish with your cash. But the whole idea is to get 10,000 people paying £60.
I just hope enough other supporters back this deal and the club.

To be honest i'd have expected the £60 deal to just include everyone given how much of a saving it is anyway.
If the club fall one person short mate i'll gladly pay out another £15.
I agree with getting people signed up. I know of 3 people so far who have pledged and aren't season ticket holders. Plus i know a few season ticket holders who weren't going to renew but now are thanks to this deal.

As do I. Why is there an option to pledge a junior ticket if it doesn't count towards the total?
And after 18 years i hope this club does value me. Spent enough money down the years.
