| "After the Announcement on Monday we received another 650 Pledges, which is amazing but not necessary."
So that's 11,331 now?
Which begs the question..why the hell did they not pledge before, when it mattered???

| I may have a pledge problem, i pleged for a family ticket for £150, now my mate, who hasn't pleged, is buying two season tickets at £99 for myself and him, in the main stand (as long as keep him in beers next season) my question is am i still obliged to buy the tickets i pledged on even though theoretically we will be spending more money?

It was at 11,016 the last time I looked so we could be heading towards the 12k figure in adult season passes alone.
Amazing when you think about it.

| On top the pledges real or fake how many day trippers excluding away fans are you expecting on average next season?
Is it realistic to expect 17k for the Rhinos game and an average around 14.5k.
Also what do u expect to happen in 2012 when season ticket prices triple?

| I think the 'fake pledge' thing is quite embarassing (for the fake pledgers) when you consider that not even football fans resorted to such immaturity with the City pledge, or at least not in large numbers. If people have actually pledged 20 odd times in an attempt to hurt the finances of the club then they are pretty imbecilic, regardless I'm sure the total of people actually honoring their pledge will be above the 9,000 mark, even if it doesn't quite hit the 10,000.

| Just been arguing on the Wakefield board, because they say that 10,000 at £60 is only £600,000 and that the club will die.
It's not just 10,000 at £60 is it, I'm right in saying that (please note not exact figures but I've used them to show that we'll generate more than £600,000).
What about the 2,400 people who pledged for a family stand, family season pass £199?
2,400 x £199 = £477,600
Then you can add the 1,600 £99 family stand, single season pass.
1,600 x £99 = £158,400
Then you can add the final 6,800 who pledged at £60
6,800 x £60 = £408,000
Add them all together and wal ****ing la
Total = £1,044,000.

You've got the right general idea although the exact split between the different categories of ticket is anyones guess. roughly speaking the club will get about 50% as much revenue per head compared to last years tickets. So if we shift 12k (including concessions etc) then we should have roughly the same income coming in from 12k season ticket holders next year as we did from 6k this year. The way the club really makes money back is from having twice the number of people in the ground all buying food, drink, merchandise, lottery tickets etc. because people have paid less to get in in the 1st place they are more likely to spend more on extras like this. Plus the higher the average attendance the more the club can sell sponsoship/advertising for.
If any clubs fans should be worrying about their club dying then its the wakey crew.

| I pledged 2 Juniors at £45 each too, so throw them and all the others in and I suspect the revenue raised would be very similar to the 6000 members we had last year at the higher price!
I'd be interested to know the total number of pledges full stop, including kids and tots who didn't count, we could have some very large crowds for the big games next year!
Which is why, at long last it was such a very good bit of marketing and it's a long time since I've been able to say that about the Bulls.
Well done everyone concerned

Cheers for the above.
Glad to know I'm working on the right principal.
p.s You forgot that with also having a 10k+ average crowd we'll tick another two boxes:
One for having an average crowd over 10k
One for filling 40% of the total capacity of Odsal

| Mick, don't argue with them. There are folk across the forums talking the same waknerage. I dealt with some of them on the VT, but its really not worth it. The maths work out at much-improved income compared with what would otherwise have been the case. We know that, our Board knows that, so bloody what if some of them choose to believe otherwise - does it matter?
And as for Wakey, theirs was a club crying out for an initiative like this ffs. They will be dead soon enough if they don't come up with a sugar daddy or a similar initiative.
btw, amongst other things I have not yet seen a single commentator recognise that 14.9% of the gross goes to HMRC as VAT.
Or that - and this is a beauty, since NONE of these Einsteins have twigged - by converting walk-in income to up-front season ticket income, you get to keep 85.1% of the gross. From 4/1/11 you only get to keep 83.33%, a saving of around £9k on £1/2m gross (for example). Every little helps! And more than the same again in interest.

To be fair some are congratulating us, but others are just like the s on Sub Stand coming all doom and gloom saying we're losing £££££ not making £££££.
I hear Wakefield are on Judge Judy next week over the out laying £128 bill to the milk man.

I totally forgot about the VAT rise in January.

To be fair before reading your posts on the issue on the VT I had my doubts about the long term feasibility of the scheme but they certainly cleared things up. So sometimes it is worth arguing the point and those who bother to read it will see it is a fantastic scheme and fantastic achievement by Bradford. Of course you will always get those who won't read it or will just ignore what is written but most will see the point.

| Mick, leave them alone on Substandard and elsewhere. They all know you are so easy to wind up, and therefore they go for it without mercy. There are those on Substandard and elsewhere who will refuse to listen, and will try and twist the argument regardless, no matter how irrefutable your own argument is. Don't play their game - do what annoys them the most - ignore them and just laugh at them.
Incidentally, I think you also need to look more especially to Andrew Bennett for this initiative.

So, correct me if im wrong here, but I think what you are saying Adey is that, far from losing money on this cut price bargain of a season ticket that us Bulls fans can enjoy, the club is actually in a position to MAKE money on it?

Of course. The club would not have entertained this initiative had it not been guaranteed to improve our income compared with what would otherwise have been!!
The big gamble they took was whether enough people would back the club's faith in its fans with their faith in the club. And it paid off. Because more than enough of us did. And how!

Your so right. And it is a fantastic scheme that fits perfectly with where we find ourselves as an organisation. If the model works (same or increased overall income from more people paying less) then I would suggest there are more clubs that could benefit from similar schemes next year. (some clubs could have benefited this year in advance of franchise decisions too!?)

| You have to remember that the one's bragging about doing this tend to be morons. The club will have checks in place to weed out fake pledges, so all they've done is waste their own time.
And a lot of them also tend to be from clubs who can only dream of a minimum home average attendance of 10k+
So just sit back and laugh at sad, pathetic losers. I know I will be
