| I thought you showed great spirit and never gave up, Lilley was very good but I think Pryce has definitely seen better days. Great away support and for me a result you can build on,

| Having four first teamers from Wakefield didn't seem to help Dewsbury. Well and truly stuffed by Rochdale.
Perhaps that shows that building a strong club culture is better than relying on Dual Reg imports who will be off back to their parent clubs tomorrow?
Seriously worried that Rochdale will be up for giving us a good beating next week.

I don't think any championship team will stuff you with the spirit shown today, equally I don't think there is any real danger in you going down. I was impressed with the travelling support and the team effort. There was an all in it together spirit that really shone through. A credit to the club IMHO. I think the only danger for next week is the emotional high from all the preseason ups and downs and finally making the first game, which is some achievement considering all the difficulties you have had to deal with.
As for my team, a good start with lots to build on. I think both teams showed that this was the first competative game together with both sides fielding a new spine. Encouraging green shoots on display from both teams though.

| Sounds like it was a commendable effort and the scoreline was better than I expected. Important that we maintain that level for teams that we have a realistic chance of beating though. Rochdale had a terrific result today so they will be full of confidence on Sunday, hope the rumour of further experience coming before next week materialises.

| Really good effort by the bulls players and fans, I thought when that kick off didn't reach the 10 and we got a penalty on half way i thought you would fold and we would run in 3 or 4 more try's but you dug in and scored a couple of break away try's, Jordan Lilly was good for you, that big no10 ran strong him and Mitch Clarke had a decent battle,
Out of interest all the ex bulls players on display why did danny addy get boo'd from you lot?

| Addy always seemed to get an unfair amount of stick. He was frustratingly inconsistent for us but we didn't help him or ourselves by constantly switching him between positions. Still can't believe that Hull KR have one of the best support FB's stuck out on the wing, what a waste.

| Will take that result.
Great effort all round. Just really needs some more forwards. Quite a few soft tries to concede but heads never really went down. I think we'll win more games than I was expecting if the effort is like that.
Hull KR were decent. Did what they had to do. Probably top the league but will have much tougher tasks than Bradford at home this season.

| I think you can see why quinlan is fullback though. We use the FB position as an extra pivot, which I'm not sure if moss can do or not? A supporting fullback is great, depends on your style of play though and it wouldn't suit us.
Thought he looked decent on the wing mind, very fast.

I would largely agree with this assessment. You have the nucleus of a good championship team, I thought the fullback was particularly impressive.
Regarding Rovers performance, for quite a few players it was their first serious game for us. From the spine only Lunt played last season, 1 new centre and winger, Minns has switched sides and Shaw only played a few games before his serious injury last season, new loose man and 2 new props so plenty of scope for development and improvement in our team. Hopefully we will rise to the tougher tasks ahead, starting away to London next week

| Good turn out today & I thought you were very respectful during the Colin Hutton ceremony. Thank you.
Your boys did okay as well. Very good kicking game & plenty of energy. Plenty of promise there.
Don't think Moss will be on the wing for long, he's just come into the group late & we're short on wingers.

Brilliant traveling support, that'll probably be the best away support of the season. Thanks for coming.

| Cheers for all the kind comments from hkr fans, i suspect it's not often a 30 point win/loss is greated as job well done for both sets of fans! We realistically never expected anything other than a loss, but the manner of the performance was all important and it looks generally positive.
Average age of the Bulls 17 today? 22 including leon, 20.something without him. And with no preseason I'm proud of the players tonight, really need to back that effort ip next week for the first home game.

| Good effort today. I thought Hull KR looked very good. Dummy runners aplenty! As Bullseye said, a moral victory!
Huge game next week. Last few weeks the team have rightly been patted on the back for spirit and effort. But this week its all about performance and getting a result.
Thought Hallas had a good game from the Leeds lot. Bentley looks like he'll be a cracking little player

No 'probably' about it, mate. You might get a few from Halifax and Fev, but the rest will be car loads if our experience the last couple of years are a guide

| Really chuffed that all seem generally content with today and that it seems there are positives to be taken and to be built upon. Also pleased by the realism of the Bradford fans and the encouragement from those of KR. Hope the cavalry arrive in numbers in the near future and that they buy into the pride that it would seem was sported today. Bravo to all.
Rochdale would seem to have hit the ground running but will still be a less daunting fixture than today's. All the best.

| I couldn't make it today but listened on the radio. It sounds like there are some encouraging signs there. I wasn't expecting us to score 24 and from the commentary I heard Macani very nearly scored not long before half time and we were held up at least once too so could have had over 30 points.
54 points conceded isn't great and they'll have plenty to work on in defence this week. You can excuse it given we have so many young blokes in the side so hopefully some experienced recruits will help that.
How did Thomas go at full back?
Looking forward to seeing what news the coming week holds. Keeping fingers crossed for some new recruits. Bring on Rochdale! They had a good start against Dewsbury so I'm sure will be a stern test. Although the highlights of that match are on the internet and Dewsbury looked awful.

| Your hastily assembled team put in a really gutsy and spirited performance today. Over the coming weeks you will improve massively and I am convinced you will stay in the Championship this year and avoid the drop.
However, the best performance and the biggest raps go to the huge and passionate and vocal Bradford fans at today's game. There must have been nearly 1000 of you there today and boy were you respectful, loud and enthusiastic in equal measure. Good teams deserve great supporters. Rugby League is certainly enriched by having a viable Bradford team plying it's trade. Good luck for the season and here's hoping we see you back soon alongside us in Super League, where we both belong.
