Throwing a pint in someones face can be considered a criminal offence, smoking on the Odsal terraces (atm) cannot.

What would be your reason for throwing a pint aswell? A smoker smokes because they enjoy the cigarrette, you drink because you enjoy the pint, why would you waste it by chucking it at him!? I realise this isn't a realistic scenario, but when you look at them both, they are very different.

That's how I find the anti smoking brigade TBH. You've got pubs, restaurants, planes, train stations, taxis, cinemas and offices now you're whinging about people smoking outside.

The ban was enforced to try and reduce passive smoking reduce smokers cost to NHS and not mickey off the majority of people who dont smoke in public places! The terraces should be a smoke free zone....and if people cant with hold the earge to smoke for 40 minutes you should be embarrased with yourselves

If you think that smoking harms the NHS then you really don't know what you're on about. The treasury love smokers and drinkers and drivers because of the revenue. Why haven't they banned it completely if it's so bad? One of the main reasons I gave it up was the cost and 150% of the cost of a pack goes to the treasury.

Stop whinging and trying to impose yourself on other people. You've got smoke free pubs (the ones that are left because you've helped to virutally kill that trade off with this ban) and juice bars. Go and have a wheat grass and quinoa smoothie and cheer yourself up.

I'm not a drama queen either... both parents smoke, brother smokes and think the passive smoking argument has been made enough times to argue about it on a RL forum. I'm just trying to stick up for those (including myself) who would like to watch the game we love without having to breathe in something I don't particularly find pleasant.

I couldn't give a toss if smoking is allowed or not on the terraces at Odsal as I don't smoke in fact I'm surprised it hasn't been banned yet on the terraces it pretty much has been everywhere else.

When you use the terms Fascist and Adolf you are implying certain things. When you realise how offensive you are being by these terms in such a casual way I might not get so "melodramatic".

I'm more than happy to engage in discussion about the pros/cons about banning smoking on the terraces but when you use the comparisons you have I do get wound up... perhaps that's you aim. If not lets get back onto the topic of whether smoking on the terraces should be allowed or not.

Cas isn't . Only non smoking under covered area . Smoking allowed at railway end and either side of seating stand . Doesn't stop some of the ignorants smoking under cover as well though

I'm all for live and let live, but some of the comments on here have gone beyond idiotic. Are the smokers on here really so selfish? I have no issue with smoking, and smoked for a long time, but no longer do, but I would hope I was never as rude or ignorant about where I chose to smoke as some on here appear to be. What about a bit of consideration for others?

I had dog the bounty hunter and his gobby wife outside my house this morning.

I have no problem with people smoking. If they want to wreck their lungs and stink like seven shades of Hades then so be it.

What I do have a problem with is anti-social smokers and unfortunately since the hefty in-roads into making it more difficult to smoke in public places there seems to be a direct correlation in the rise of anti-social smokers.

I don't think it takes too much intelligence or basic human manners to accept that if you're doing something that affects people around you in a negative way then you take care about how you're doing it.

I for one would support a total ban in all sporting arenas. I would hazard a guess that the majority of smokers would suddenly find they could suddenly last 95 minutes of a rugby match without a fag
