1 - re KP: suspect you watched a different match to most of the rest of us?
2 - re Jeffries - Hudds did a very good job of closing him dowm, that was why he was less effective. They knew they had to do that, and they did. We had few other options given the missing players.
3 - last time I checked, it was not in the groundsman's remit to relay the underground drainage at the bottom of a bloody great hole in the ground?'"
Sorry just don't think he was that good. The only reason he touched the ball, as said was because Brough kicked to him. But he needed to take the ball up more when we were pinned in our own half. He wasn't bad but i don't think he was MOM like people are suggesting.
Yes Jeffieres was put under pressure, but he has to deal with it. Fair enough once getting caught you can deal with. But twice, why didn't he stand back more? Plus the way he let Brough go passed him wasn't good enough.
Not taking anything away from the effort from the lads though.

| Ran in and punched someone, who was fighting anyway and how did it start??
Also I rekon:
Kearney, Kear, Gale, Scruton, L'Estrange, Donaldson, Sammut and Crookes could have with only Donno and Scruts the doubtful ones. Thats 4 playmakers (BK, Gale, Stranger, Sammut) and 2 wingers who get through a lot of work :/

| Jeffries could've stood deeper on occasion perhaps but I think his kicking game was negated by good Hudders pressure rather than anything else. They obviously had been drilled all week to pressure him and had two or three on him leaving him nowhere to go. We hardly ever got in a position where we got to put in a decent attacking kick either so it's hard to blame him for much. The miss on Brough was poor but others were also to blame there. Manoakafoa left a huge gap on the right for him to swan through.
With Gale back we'll have two kickers which will give us much needed options.
On Pryce I thought he was ok. He saved two tries with his tackle on Patrick and the intercept that didn't quite come off. In attack he was ok without really adding much. All in all I thought he had one of his better games and looked fairly comfortable at fullback, his positioning wasn't much different to Kearney!

On the ground, it's not rained for months and the pitch has been shocking since the start of the season and thought it ruined the game a little.

Nothing the groundsmen could do! I live just off Halifax road and all the way down the drains were overflowing on the road! The amount of rain we have had it was never going be a good pitch today.

Same line of thinking as me, but I wouldn't drop Ainscough right now, he deserves his place. If all our wingers were fit I'd go for Crookes and Ainscough. Hopefully we have Kearney, Gale and Heath back next week and we suddenly look a far more potent attacking side.

Would just like to say to all Huddersfield fans who were giving it the "at least we will have a club to support next year" you are a joke! If it wasnt for "SIR KEN" writing off your huge losses every year you would have been liquidated a long time ago because the size of your support cant sustain the huge wages you are paying under your flexi-salary cap.
Now that last statement really is rich , how long into THIS season have you had the begging bowls out? the jokes on you .

I dunno, they proably did put some pressure on him, but he doesn't make it easier on himself. He kicks to close to the line, should give himself a few extra yards because he's been caught out on a number of occasions already this season, either getting charged down or offloading to someone like Whitehead or Bateman to put in a kick in hope.

| As many have said Danny Brough was the difference. His kicking game couldn't have been better today IMO. His kick for Magilvary's try was absolutely fantastic.
Decent effort from the boys, however i thought our marker defence was very sloppy. Particularly when Brough was playing at hooker for them in yardage, and he was still getting the kicks away at the end of the sets. We were defending hard and keeping them in their own half, only for laziness to creep in on the last tackle.

| I thought we played well and have no complaints at all. The biggest difference for me was that Hudds had their first choice halves on the field, whilst we, well didn't, and it it showed. I thought Hudds deserved to win as they always looked much more likely to break the line and were more composed in their handling and kicking. We defended like heroes though and the Giants will know they've been in a game.
The Odsal pitch was the worst I've seen it for over thirty years; I've seen more surface water over more recent times but not the way it churned up this afternoon. What with the grey shirts worn by Shuddersfield and our grey shirts (after 20 mins) I could hardly tell the teams apart for most of the game

No we are financially F£$%ED through no fault of ours as fans, what other choice do we have as fans but to get the begging bowls out? Know this, if what has happened to us had happened to Huddersfield do you think your handful of fans would have come close to raising 500k? If every one of you put a pound in the begging pot you would struggle to raise 500 quid. No I think the jokes on you and your joke club along with fat Robbie Savage who thought he was reffing the game today for some reason. Laugh at us all you want we have won Grand Finals, Challenge Cups and World Club Challenges, at least we have something to aim for that we have acheived already not just a pipe dream. Remind me what you have ever won? One Challnge Cup Final you completely bottled and a few hidings in the play offs!

| Actually Wadski, if we are being totally precise, you can only count the last 5 of those and one of the third.
The current club company is actually the old Sheffield Eagles club. The earlier ones were won by a different entity, same as all Bradfords' ones pre 1963 were...and it may well yet be that all ours post 2012 will be...
