Just seen a picture of the odsal pitch on look north and it looks very very white!
Are there covers on? What kind of state is the pitch in?

they'll leave clearing the pitch as long as possible as the snow actually protects the pitch. Someone mentioned they'd been to odsal earlier in week and groundsman said the pitch was fine under the snow. The terraces will be the problem, but as others have said rooley end is clearin nicely on its own so the've only got pop side to do. I'd imagine worst case is they clear as much as possible and close off worst sections. Can't see us needing full capacity first game of season even if Kr do bring a decent amount over.

you dont half go over the top mick. I work just the other side of the hill from the BRI and there was some sleety snow for about an hour 11-12ish this morning, which if anything only helped to wash away the remaining snow in cottingley.

Forecast: Light snow this evening, dry tomorrow, light rain Saturday, light rain and a balmy 8C Sunday. Game on.....hopefully

Yes would be useful for us too. I've got a ticket but my daughter couldn't get a swap so will be hoping to swap on the day, if part of the ground is cordoned off would this reduce the capacity greatly?

I've just been up to Odsal and spoke to Stuart Duffy who's extremely confident that the game will go ahead. The snow is starting to be cleared from the pitch. The Rooley lane terracing is completely clear of snow and they have started on the popular side. The car park is also being cleared of snow.

You could get some heavy snow coming down though.. my local news showed where the snow will be moving to and it moving southwards and looks to be hitting leeds so would expect it to get you too.. although i don't mind if it wishes to just stay here cause i'll make it home as i'm below where the A66 closes! I woke up to about an inch two hours ago.. its now at least two inches.

It's not forescasted to hit that heavy here. It's coming more down through the Vale of York area.

Good news that they're working on it!

Wasn't meant to be heavy here, last night it was some snow will fall but shouldn't cause disruptions, now its heavy snow with disruptions and possible delays as people leave work.

That does'nt look good

The picture's make it look a lot worse than it realy is.

Just had a look on forcast from met office cos our lass is coming over to support the dobbins. The forcast for saturday to monday is mild, dry and cloudy so the ice will have gone methinks ! If that helps you all !

provided they can get pitch clear then should be game on. Rooley lane end looks fine and I'd imagine they'll get a few sections clear on pop side then close off any sections which are really bad. no disrespect to hullkr but we arent going to need the full capacity for sunday. I'd have thought about 11-12k attendance depending on weather on the day.
