| BREAKING NEWS
Bet Fred in Wibsey have revealed they will be making the majority of their staff redundant due to the news of Elliott Whitehead leaving Bradford.
Founder Fred Done said : I have made a fortune from Elliott over the years, BetFred is like a second home to him. He will be sorely missed by ourselves and I have made the decision to cut staff as our profits will take a big hit.

I can't see it, but i'd love to get Elima back. Alright, he had a habit of being a penalty machine at times, but he's what our pack is missing IMO. Big, strong and agressive, fires everyone else up, gets under the other team's skin, like when he managed to get McIlorum sent off. As much as it pains me to say it, it's what Ryan Bailey does very, very well for Leeds.

| His decision is to ask to leave probably a based on a few assumptions, he may not see Bradford getting into the top 8, cant see anything changing next year, his agent has been approached by another club, believes he is top 4 club material !!.
If he wants to leave then let him go as he wont have his heart in any game for us, however don't expect to go for free is going to cost you.
At least he has been honest and up front with wanting to leave rather than getting another club and buggering off

| Perhaps he is thinking of the club by trying to raise money for the club (£100,000) by putting himself on the market.
No Sky monies this year, 50% Sky money next year - no brass to buy/tempt players. Shame it's come to this.

I think it was slightly tongue in cheek in response to me listing the 6 or 7 Catalan players they can give us for Elliott

| Well, I'm struggling to see any kind of silver lining from this situation whatsoever, but at least if we do manage to get a fee for Whitehead then we will potentially be able to offer a similar fee for another player currently under contract somewhere else.
That would extend our available player pool somewhat. We can immediately rule out any non-fed trained players since our quota is already full. So no Hendo/Beaver/A.N.Other comebacks I am afraid.
I suspect we may well be flatly refused by Leeds if we made an approach, but I would like us to at least enquire about Liam Hood, Brad Singleton and even Liam McAvoy over at the Rhinos currently.
A player swap with Wire for Blythe and/or Evans would be ok with me as some people have suggested, but I'm honestly not sure how interested Wire are (or ever were for that matter).
There are currently no forwards on Salford's books that I would want to see us make a move for.
I think Wigan is a none starter because I would be very surprised if they are interested. Whitehead is not good enough to get in the Wigan 17.
Hull could be interested, perhaps we could take someone like Jay Pitts or maybe offer Danny Tickle asome kind of deal.

| As a Bulls fan I am disappointed that he has decided his future isn't here midway through the season, so much for it being a really tight group! But he is free to hand in a transfer request and appears to have handled it reasonably professionally. I just hope there isn't more nonsense going on behind the scenes, we seem to have a fair few staff departures recently. Move on and try and get the best deal possible in the shortest amount of time now.

| Not a bad shout for McAvoy, even a loan move would do us the world of good. He won't come back though, only just left us and is a Leeds lad.

| Disappointed as he's got the potential to be a very good player but hasn't fulfilled this so far.
Best result for Bradford now is to get the best transfer fee possible, which given his age and the length of contract remaining it should be significant, and strengthen where we need to rather than swaps with whoever is surplus to requirement elsewhere.
If rumours were true, FC (along with a number of others) was interested in Featherstone's Anthony England but we were not in a position to pay a fee.

and we're really not in a position to overpay for someone who's untested at SL level. Fev don't have to sell so we'd be looking at paying a transfer fee then possible an above average wage for someone who's a gamble.
General point still stands that we're better off with cash and the choice of buying player(s) from where we want rather than being restricted to 1 clubs swaps.

This. Very good going forward but poor defensively. Got potential to improve though. Sad to see him go.
Can't see a top 4 club going for him. Hudds maybe, or wire might be interested doing a swap for Blythe. Think he will go to Salford though

Is young Beefy actually any good? If we're buying from Fev we want the Zak Hardaker not the Kyle Briggs. For every Alex Walmsley type prop from the National Leagues there's bound to be a few duds.

Not the fogiest, but I'd prefer Francis Cummins get his choice of players rather than his choice from 1 club. It's the same as bringing a player from the academy in that until they play you can't be certain. Briggs, Shad Royston and to some extent Phil Joseph haven't worked for us recently so it's about time we picked a gem
