OK and GS need a big pat on the back along with the other members of staff for getting us to this stage in our great clubs history
all we need now is a good show this year and increased ticket sales for next season.

| Or if we could fudge a Semi in the CC or playoffs against a team with a large following.

Lol?? What's funny?
The Bulls certainly did NOT suggest the 2x half year deal. Who on earth woud? Leaving aside that suggesting a 2x half year deal "to retain the Sky cash" is totally nuts as it IS the "Sky cash" we are talking about! How would that work "If we can retain the Sky cash then we won't retain the Sky cash"??

| Usually spot on is this guy,
Super League Live @YRSuperleague 2h
1/3 After speaking to the RFL, the decision the Bull won't get the full Sky money in 2014 isn't 'new news', it was agreed last year.
2/3 The RFL say it was suggested by the Bulls to the other clubs as a concession to ensure the other 13 voted to keep them in Super League.
3/3 The money which would have gone to Bradford has been split 13 ways between the other sides in Super League.e other 13 voted to keep them in Super League.
So basically im laughing at the fact that Bulls bribed the other clubs with cash from Sky and seem to not like the idea now ??

Yes. Which is why a few hours ago I posted "That was the deal".
Quote ="PAC"...2/3 The RFL say it was suggested by the Bulls to the other clubs as a concession to ensure the other 13 voted to keep them in Super League. '"
Where do they say that?
What was reported at the time in the T&A was;
Quote It is believed Bradford South MP Mr Sutcliffe and Mr Khan, who saved the crisis-torn club from the brink of administration on August 31, were told rival Super League sides were not happy for them to continue playing in the competition unless they gave up part of their share of the annual £1.2 million Sky television distribution cash paid to each club.
The outfit’s former owners, Bradford Bulls Holdings, entered administration on June 26 after running up debts of about £1.5 million, and RFL director of standards and licensing Blake Solly had previously said other clubs would expect the new owners to pay off the “moral debt”.
'"
That suggests pretty much the opposite of your claim. What have you got to back it up?
More recently, Gerry Sutcliffe was reported as saying (again in the T&A)
Quote But Sutcliffe revealed his frustration at the manner in which the RFL had dealt with the club’s change of ownership.
He said: “It’s no secret that we’re not happy about having to forfeit the television monies but that’s one of the things that kept us in Super League.
“We will be attending a meeting of Super League clubs in Cumbria on November 7-8 and we’ve had the minutes from the last meeting.
“We can see which other clubs were supporting the Bulls and which were not. It's clear there's an opportunity for us to put a wrong right and we will report back after this meeting.”'"
I am assuming that if the Bulls had advanced the idea then under no circumstances would that form of words have been used.
It was reported pre-season on Sky that:
Quote However, speaking at Bradford's pre-season media day at Odsal, Khan said he was disappointed with the actions of the other 13 clubs in voting to divide Bradford's allocation of around £1m.
...
There were two or three clubs that didn't want that money, they wanted to support the club which was very good of them. But the rest wanted that money.
"It doesn't make sense to me. If that money had gone to make the game bigger it wouldn't have bothered me.
"The conclusion I've come to is 'you take care of yourself'. We're just a club on its own. Every club is on its own but it shouldn't be. They should be working together to grow the game.""'"
Quote ="PAC"...3/3 The money which would have gone to Bradford has been split 13 ways between the other sides in Super League.e other 13 voted to keep them in Super League.'"
Yes. Again, we already all know this. We've all known it for many months.
Quote ="PAC"So basically im laughing at the fact that Bulls bribed the other clubs with cash from Sky and seem to not like the idea now ??'"
So basically you're laughing at a non-existent "bribe" but which, on all the evidence, was a condition that the other clubs required to support the deal, and was then subsequently split between the other clubs. And the clear impression given is that if the money was being poured in to grow the game, OK wouldn't be so bothered, but the post-event fact that the clubs voted to divvy it (seemingly a majority vote) is what upset him.

| Thank goodness the RFL got our licence officially sorted well before other clubs are allowed to contact our ooc players. That gives us plenty of time to get the players signed up and doesn't penalise us in another way (again).
The process started at least 6 weeks ago and the Solly sub-committee made their "approved" recommendation to the main committee 2 weeks ago so this announcement should give us at least a week or two "contract exclusivity" with our players and their agents before the 1st of May.
Oh wait...

| I sat next to Gerry in the FC one Christmas while he was in Government. He nearly wet himself with excitment when The Who 'Won't Get Fooled Again' came on the juke box. I will always have a soft spot for him as a result.

I had ruled him OUT of being a Wakefield fan. The evidence suggests otherwise. He did not make a single spelling error in any of his posts.

| lol please tell me your trying albeit poorly to wind me up by guessing who I support ?
Congrats on the licence confirmation by the way, RL is stronger for having the Bulls in SL, doesn't mean any team has a right mind.
For what its worth I would bin Salford or London before any other team.

Salford or London to be binned?
Think that confirms you support a team within the WF postcode

Not sure I understand the Gerry Sutcliffe question. What has he done that people in Wakefield wouldn't like?
Always a good arguement to pick on the area someone comes from
So without defending any comments about Sutcliffe as I imagine it isn't something I agree with......
I'm pretty sure we we can all find spellling errors on the Bradford board as well so don't big yourselves up too much.
If we are comparing general education, Bradford Grammar school just beats the Wakefield schools but there is a long trail on the low end with other Bradford schools beyond the bottom end of Wakefield's achievemts and under achievement, so lets not start bagging WF postcode for education. Just have a go at the poster if you like.
Probably over defensive I guess
