| Cas are nailed on for the 8, since Celtic have imploded and definitely won't win another game this season. So they'll get to 26 points whatever happens...
The key game is going to be Cats vs Wakefield, and Cats will obviously target this game since they won't want to have to rely on having to be beat Saints at Knowsley Road. With a week off to recover from their beating today and a fervent home crowd, I think they'll beat a Wakefield team who will possibly be resting players for the later Play Off games. That said, I wouldn't put it past Wakey to beat them - I didn't expect them to go to Warrington and win...
Harelequins have obviously bombed their chance, and I honestly think Wire will be settling for Cup glory. Maybe if Warrington win next week, they'll get some energy and momentum for their last 2 games, but I doubt they'll make it.

| So we're now down to
Round 26:
Bulls beat Salford
Wakefield beat Catalans
Cas beat Harlequins
Hull KR beat Warrington (Warrington will have played in CC final the week before)
Round 27:
Bulls beat Hull FC
Saints beat Catalans
Round 26 is the key. If all 4 results go our way, then it's looking very, very good!

Think that's the main stumbling block, Catalans needing a win at home against a Wakey side who don't really have to win

Yes. Absolutely. Wakefield are already sure of their place. Catalans know they only need to win this one to make sure. Tough.

| I think you will do it if you win your remaining 2.
Warrington, Catalan and London have difficult ends to the season.

Why do they?
Is it for taking Solomona off their hands?

| The Catalans v Wakefield game is definitely the potential stumbling block. With Wakefield confirmed in a play off spot you'd expect them to ease back a bit, but then momentum is the key to a good play off run and no side in the top eight can really afford to put in a poor performance.

I would be suprised to see Wakefield ease off, just because they know they will make the 8. They will want a good run into the playoffs and also to finish in 5th rather than 6th if they can.

| Sorry guys the odds are really stacked against you I just cant see you making it.
Theres a lot of clinging and straws that come to mind that said there is hope as for 2006 its when Wakey were out for the vount and we beat you at Odsal and cas lost to Salford we then relegated Castleford.

| If we'd collapsed in a ludicrous manner just the once to Cas rather than both home and away, things would now look a lot rosier. Ah well.

No.
Cas will beat Celtic and get a play-off berth anyway. We need Cas to make sure Quins won't make the play-offs.

But if Cas win and Cats win, then it's all over, where as if Quins win, there is still another spot to play for. And still another 2 if Cats lose.

But Cas have still got to play Celtic anyway, if they win next week then they are already in. And if Cats win aswell as Cas, that's us out of it.
Where as if they lose at Quins, then we are still in with a chance, and neither, Quins or Cas will have secured a play off spot.
Surley the best results for us would be for Quins to beat Cas and move up to 24 points and stop Cas from securing a playoff spot, aswell as Wolves losing at KR keeping them on 22 and Wakey beating Cats keeping Cats on 24.
That would then leave two playoff spots open on the final round providing we beat Salford.
With, Cas needing a win against Celtic, Harelquins needing a win at Wolves and Cats a win at Saints, and us needing a win at Hull.
Surley its better heading into the final round with two spots open as opposed to one(Wakey beating Cats hopefully)
Or am I confused?

| Celtic at Cas is close to a bye for Cas, with the players they've lost and their pre-existing problems.

There is still a chance whether Cas or Quins win that game, but as Cas have to play Celtic, we can assume they're going to make the 8 win or lose next week. Equally well, if Quins and Wolves win next week then it's all over, as they play each other in the final week so one of them will win. I think we'd rather Cas beat Quins, KR beat Wolves and Wakey beat Cats. That way, last week, we need only rely on Saints doing what they do best!
