Right bear with me here, with my positive head on I've been looking at the fixtures for this weekend and I spotted something interesting (? well maybe not that intertesting but tough). The position today in the bottom half of the league;

7th Wigan.....17pld 14 pts
8th Hull........16pld 14 pts
9th Wire.......16pld 14 pts
10th Cas.......16pld 14 pts
11th Bulls......15pld 13 pts
12th Catalan..15pld 12 pts

The following are the fixtures this week, in the order played importantly, and my guess at the results with the winners in bold; (no wigan game)

If the results went that way on Friday and Saturday, and the reason I mention all this is that none would be shocks IMHO, we would start our game, the only game on the Sunday, knowing that a win against saints would put us 8th! That should be a huge motivation for the lads and crowd alike;

If Salford could snatch a win we'd even go to the dizzy heights of 7th!

Only slight problem is St Helens

, but the point Im making is that before that game even kicks off there could be a huge incentive placed in front of our guys by the other results.

There's a huge incentive every game. Which is why I'm so baffled by the Saints fan on the VT trying to argue that the play-offs reduce incentive to win regular rounds.

With the playoff system our game on Sunday is massive, without the playoffs we'd already be concentrating on next season and so it would only be important for Saints. The playoffs might be too big now, and there needs to be more definate rewards for higher placings like we used to have in my own view, but overall they definately add to the competition.

I haven't been excited as I am now all this season. Really looking forward to testing ourselves against the Saints on Sunday.

Me too. If we keep our defence solid and complete our sets we can easily win this one. The play-offs may be there begging for the lads on sunday, we've already proved we have the quality to beat saints, so lets do the double on them.

yeah im looking forward to it too!! its a win win for me!! i still think you have no chance of making the play off's. this is the closest the bulls have been to me been proved wrong. so i understand why your excited. some how my lot are in second(well for a week any way) and we have been pretty poor this year by our own standards.

wow wow wow there my bulls friend! one step at a time!! saints come to odsal looking to right some wrongs from the last meet you had. they are coming off a 40 point win without 2 of their best players.

you need to be nothing short of your best so far this season and saints to be below par for it to be easy!! you should be praying for summer rain my friend! because if its a hot hot day and the track is fast you will be looking down the barrel of 50 point loss too.

I didn't mean easily as such, but that if we can to the basics right, we will have a good chance. If our forwards dominate again, and lay a platform, it could be easier than expected.

Heard it all last time out pal, from both Leeds and Saints. Thought they were coming for an easy win and all that, but all they left with in the end up with was a bloody nose.

It's got nothing to do with how we play on the day, the league table was very similar this week to how it was when we played both Leeds and Saints earlier on this season. We were expecting to be 'looking down the barrel of a 50 point loss' on both opccasions, but it wasn't us that ended up looking down the barrell of a loss.

leeds and saints both probably had their worst performances of the season against you lot. you worked hard and got the wins fair play!!

but you are talking about these games in context of making the play off's.

what you are talking about is beating wire, saints and leeds 3 weeks on the bounce!! if you do that then hats off to ya!!

. leeds didn't have their worst performance against us : Harlequins and Salford? I don't think Saints did either, in their 4-0 win over Celtic they were $hit.

saints played celtic in water polo conditions and nobody knows better than you lot that celtic are a good team(they just need time)

harlequins were outstanding when they beat us, they are the real true dark horse for the title.

salford have proved they have real quality in their team!! we lost to them by 10 points and salford had 2 interception trys and went the length of the field against the run of play for both, the first was the last play of the first half and the second was in the last minute of the second. we were unlucky that day, but thats how it goes sometimes

Again, Blah Blah Blah, everybody seems to have their worst performances against Bulls, don't consider the fact that they came up against a good team that played extremley well on both occasions and stopped both top quality teams from getting into their stride's during those games.

I'm not saying we are going to beat Saints this week, what I'm saying is I'm looking forward to testing ourselves against them, I'm also saying we have nothing to fear from either Saints or Leeds because we have beaten them both once already this season, when many, like you expected them to run us through.

I think you're kidding yourself, what you are talking about is Saints just turning up and putting us to the sword, more than likley like you thought they would, and Leeds aswell 2 months or whenever it was ago.

You've got to realise that we are'nt just going to roll over and die for you, Saints or anybody.

That one strange. When Leeds and Saints get beaten by most teams, the better team won, they have good quality, good teams etc. When Bradford beat both the teams were poor and so were Bradford. If Celtic are a good team, then why have they only won 2? And if Celtic are good, Bradford must be better than good because as you pointed out earlier "look at the table".

celtec are in their first season in top flight rugby ever mate, like catalans it will take time, but i have seen enough to think they are a good team and they have a great youth development to build toward the future. hull kr had been out of the top flight for many years and are now looking strong again but it takes time, look at cas and salford.

celtec are a good team all things taken into account on 'n' off the field and need time to grow.

but for you to use me saying celetic are a good team as the crux of your argument and some how proof too yourself that bradford are a good team or better team than celtec just shows how bad things are for ya mate.

The Bulls Leeds game was dire both teams played poorly and missed scorable chances. I reckon we have a good chance of doing Leeds again as they are pretty much playing at the same level now - see Catalans result

The Saints game was odd, we started well (helped by dodgy ref decision on Jeffries Knock on), then they got into top gear and scored some scintillating tries (cue Hemmings jerk-off-a-thon), then they slacked off thinking they had won it but we stuck to the game plan and when they realised there was still a game on it was too late. I reckon they will be looking for revenge and won't go to sleep on us next time.

the only thing i would say is very different about leeds from last time is that when we played you lot we couldnt score for love nor money!! now we have the second best attack in the league.

It's blatantly obvious that you think Saints will muller us this weekend pal, that is allready straight.

As for our season, it doesn't suggest that we will roll over for anybody at all, it suggest that we have been tonked on a few occasions, but on the whole we have lost marginally or won our other games, which suggest we were in the fight.

Likewise pal, I will talk Rugby with you all day, but I will take your posts as I found them.

P.S, I noticed you were a music producer, what genre is it you produce?

Firstly, I don't need to prove to myself that Bradford are a good team, I know we have quality players in our side and are capable of beating anybody when we are playing well, as are many teams in the league as it has become better balanced.


Secondly, where have you got the idea that Celtic have got good youth development? Have you got any evidence to back this argument up? They are bottom of the reserve grade and are yet to produce a decent academy side.

Lastly, you saying Celtic were a good team wasn't the crux of my argument, that was that we have proved we have the quality to beat both Leeds and Saints, and, for some reason you think Saints are going to walk over us when IMO we will be up for the challenge. Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if we put in another pi$$ poor performance, but I am once again going to keep the faith. I believe we can beat Saints on sunday, whether you think so or not.

its not that i think saints will tonk you!! but i do think for yo to beat them again it will take a lot more than last time and you will have to be at your very best to get the 2 points. if you are not 100% on your game and ready to back it up from last week then yes a mullering would be my guess.

Saints were on form the last time we played them, they had won their last 8 games including a thrashing of Castleford (similar to their last) and two wins over you lot. That was form as good as -if not better- than they are on now so i'd say this game is just as much there for the taking as the last one.
