Just told my 11 year old about Lynch and Raynor. She says "Why? We have no good players left now."

The Bulls need to announce some positive news and quickly.

We needed players before these 2 left. I see it as we now need another wingers, 2 props, maybe a classy loose and possibly a centre.

Can't fault the Bulls really. A player who wants away is not worth keeping, if it's £100k for a 31 year old is sound business. Raynor has destroyed all the trust Bradford placed him in by the looks. He deservs nothing but scorn if it is a further offence.

Thats the fee both clubs have probabaly agreed to put about but the Hull Daily Mail which is usually spot on with this sort of stuff says

Your paper talks down transfer fee, our paper talks it up. Neither really knows and actual fee will fall somewhere in between extremes. End of the day both clubs are happy with deal so does it really matter exact figure?

'Significant six figure fee' is in the Hull club's own release statement. I don't think Adam Pearson is going to sanction a transfer fee and then tell the PR dept to lie about it.

Plenty of scope for disingenuous comment by either side regarding the "value" of the transfer.

Clearly a fee has been paid. But who knows if there are not other elements to it, like (for example) Hull assuming a salary payment or two that Bulls would otherwise have made? Or we'll mysteriously find we have a pre-season friendly against Hull FC? The clubs will have agreed a statement, so both must believe the total value received/given is at least £100k?

I guess I should keep my powder dry until I see who (if anyone) we end up signing. Must admit though I bet we see Lynch in the Dream Team next season. Personally I'm pretty gutted though. It sends out all the wrong messages.

Sad to see Lynch go. I suspect he would have stayed if the team around him wasn't gash. Replacement? Looking unlikely. This seems like a balance sheet job.

As for Raynor, I hate those "no further comment" statements. We demand to know what he's done!

All depends on the replacement in my view. If we sign Morro and Cuthbertson (or similar) then I'm satisfied as I've never rated Andy as highly as some Bulls fans and the pack definitely needs freshening up. Add in Walker as a second rower plus 100k then I think that's an improvement. On sending out the wrong message I thought letting George Burgess go to Sydney was sending out the wrong message for little gain (reportedly 40k although I've no idea). This is getting 100k+ for a 32yr old whose been short of international class at his best.

If we sign Morro and Fozzard this board will go into meltdown and I genuinely think this board know next season is the last chance for them. They've got the salary cap, they've got the cash, they've got 10,000 pledges at 25% upgrade on last year plus 3000 season tickets sold already. Let's see what happens and for those crying into their breakfast I'm convinced we won't be any worse for Lynch leaving and Hull won't be any better for signing him.

I hope we have about 4 signings lined up to go some way to plugging the frankly massive gaps we are now left with.

I would suggest that if Hull FC are saying a "significant six-figure sum" then it is likely to be true. Or do you think they making it up?

Hull's club website says It's a significant 6 figure sum. How much more confirmation is required than that?

On another note, I see Gleeson has been released by Hull.
