Not really a , out and out winger from his time at Leigh- very good one mind, not the fastest but works hard for the team. Great finisher and makes plenty of yards taking pressure off forwards at the PTB

As I understand it sawyer is longer term than Perez where as Perez is choking in feb sawyer dosent have a set date

So, will the much talked about influx from a SL team in January, mentioned as Leeds, happen this week? If I recall in 2017 they came in the week The season started but to be fair that was only about 4 weeks after we re-formed. Let’s see what happens

Well, it all depends on whether the DR with Hull has changed the equation. We're allowed 5 loan players total in the game day squad. We've 2 from HKR. So we've 3 slots left. I would guess maybe 1 from Leeds maximum, season long loan for stability would be best. A succession of short loans seems pointless. Which leaves 2 slots for Hull to use for the DR. Being sent those 4 players last week vs Dewsbury didn't work. The big prop went well for us yesterday I thought.
Unless the Leeds connection isn't needed now and we're just going to focus on the Hull D/R.

Well looking at the Bulls homepage we've only got 19 1st team players.
Yes, there are lads in the reserves with 1st team numbers, but I don't see anything but a season of struggle unless we're able to bring in some extra bodies through what ever means

That was Josh Bowden - who according to Wikipedia - has played 146 games in SL for Hull. I agree that makes him a heck of lot more useful than some kid that we've never heard of before. We might as play Ebon Scurr or Keelan Foster than play Hull youngsters who frankly aren't probably any 'further on' in their development than those who came up through our own Academy.

It's missing Matty Dawson-Jones which would bring it up to 20. But even a couple of those first team players are highly inexperienced.

To be honest, I guess this is the bed you lay in when you've had years of not paying people on time and swindling them out of their pension payments (erm... allegedly). You can have as many "new" owners as you like, but when the previous 3 or 4 have been dodgier than Del Boy, I'm not sure I'd gamble my family's future if I had other options. Add in that they're recruiting late because they had to have a fire sale to pay the debts and you're pretty stuffed on every side.

Sounds like Evans is coming back to us but quoted as a one month loan. I’m not sure how Leeds can loan us back a player for a month that we loaned them for a season but either way nice to have another quality centre.

wonder what situation is with Evans regarding the 5 loan players we're allowed to play in matchday squad. As he's technically still our player would he count on that quota or not?.

I realise that we're in the middle of one of the really pally periods with Leeds but it beggars belief they'd do us, what on the surface must be quite a costly favour, without some kind of 'pay-off' which benefits them. Well the finer detail seems to have changed a bit since I posted this morning. Leeds sign Evans permanently and loan him to us for the season. I can’t decide if it hinders us by taking away a loan spot on a player we started the year with or if it helps us if Leeds are paying his wages for us now.

I can’t see it being done out of kindness from Leeds and I expect to soon see Leeds announcing Doyle for next year or someone else promising.

Maybe our use of his services this season was the transfer fee?

He was out of contract at the end of the season, and his contract had the usual 'if an SL club comes in etc' so, on that basis, it was probably the best outcome for us? I know we had to allow him to leave but no-one said we had to allow him to go for nothing.
