The board made a point of saying Wakefield were professional and fair when dealing over Sammut.
Our chairman also said he wanted Scruton but respected Scruton's decision to stick with Bulls so not sure where the change has come from.
We are not in a position to bid big or negotiate.

Reason we have money is our top earners were on ridiculous contracts with lots of add on benefits.
Kath Hetherington has come in and really tightened contracts.
The unrealistic ones have gone.

We did things properly with Sammut. I suspect that it's the same with Scruton. Don't forget that a reduced wage bill may make your club more sustainable and thus more likely to survive.

As for Scruton's choice, his wife works at Wakey (so I understand) and so think of the petrol money he'll save!

And the comments about "why Wakey?' Have you considered that this is the attitude that has got your various owners into trouble, in that you haven't yet come to terms with the fact that you are at our level, whether you like it or not? Adjust and rebuild instead of spending like champions.

I will say "why Wakie" not for the fact we are a much superior club,has you suggest.But for the reason Sammut and Scruton are both very good players,you would of thought they would of set their sights a little higher.Going on last weeks performance Wakie are dreadful

If your post is consistent, you would have to say "why Bradford" too, or else it makes no sense.

The administrator has to run the club after some sort of a fashion so he still has something to sell. If the money runs out he has to simply close it down. And of course he will include his own remuneration in what he needs to have available.

The so-called interested parties must have known all too well what the end results would be of this uncertainty dragging on into and through the season, and as I am sure any potential buyer with a brain would never in a million years have wanted to started losing players like Scruton, I conclude that there is no serious buyer there.

And even if there was, this won't have helped. I'm struggling for a silver lining in all this

Won't the administrator just view them as realisable assets with a value? He won't be interested in whether the team will win.

Like all people who do things for a living, he is probably looking at no more than paying his bills. The worrying thing for the Bulls appears to be that he has signed for a one-year deal. That suggests that he views that as more secure than staying at Bulls. (or leaves his options open if Wakey go down, I suppose. Canny deal by both parties, I suppose).

Lamb was talking a few days ago about the Bulls coming straight back up from the championship. Maybe the possible new owners don't see relegation as a possible scenario but an expected outcome. Clearing the decks of all high earners and keeping the kids is what I would do. Are the Bulls now preparing themselves for the lower league?

The effect on the monthly balance sheet could be the biggest gain. The more the club looks sustainable with less investment, the more likely you would find a buyer, I guess.

But I can understand your concern that to lose two props is a real sickener.
