People were saying the same on here last year about Bentley. Then he played in more than half of their league games last year.

Batchelor was at Saints last year though and back on loan at York and Leigh as well.

He's 25, he isn't going to be playing for Saints much I don't think.

And Bentley was at Saints in 2018 where he barely played but spent time out on loan. That was my point. You can't necessarily judge by the first season for the "project" type of signing. Although I'll give you the age may be a factor.

Some 20 year old from Leeds on a 1 year deal looks likely.

I think a forward is more of a priority. I'd imagine someone like Wynne or Buchanan at Hull would cover centre.

Surely players from Hull could cover positions in the forward just as much as they can at centre.

Id argue that given only have 1 centre in the entire squad its more a priority than any other position at the min.

However i do take you point regarding the pack. Lets be honest we need extra bodies all over the park

I'm told its an initial year long loan with a view to making it permenant at the end of the season (like the Evans transfer).

There must be a reason/benefits for this being the prefered way of doing business as its happened loads over the last 12-18months.

Well Hull have just announced that Dawson-Jones has been released from his contract to take up an opportunity with another club. Shortly before the Bulls are due to make an announcement on a signing. I'm sure the two events aren't linked though...

Happy with that. But being out for a year this works for both clubs. Frees loan/DR up and if he comes back on fire hull will resign him next year similar to dwp situ. Well done the club and he played a hell of a lot of centre
