| Hopefully Segeyaro is OK, not only is he a quality player but then we need to reshuffle the spine again. I'd imagine Jowitt may be ahead of Patton in terms of selection now as the reserves have been going great these last few weeks. Don't think it will do Patton any harm to spend a few weeks in the reserves and try earn his place back in the side.

| Quote ="Bullseye"Lilley had his best game in a Bradford shirt IMO. Everything he did seemed to come off. That hit he put on in the second half when the game was still in the balance where he forced an error was excellent and showed the enthusiasm that was missing on Monday. The rest of the side responded to that. It's almost as if positivity breeds itself a bit like how the negative play did the same versus Barrow.
Everyone seemed to come through ok apart from Segeyaro who hobbled off. He was walking a bit more freely at the end of the game and had an ice pack on the knee. Hope he's ok as he's massive plus off the bench.
What was up with James Brown at half time? He gave the ref a proper earful. I'm guessing it was to do with him allowing play on for Blackmore's first try after there was an altercation at the play the ball?'"
Think it was to do with Holmes... from where I was Holmes tried to get up to play the ball and was being pulled down by the player under him. Holmes dropped and landed an elbow. Whether it was deliberate or the fault of the player holding on, who knows? Anyway it went against them and they spat their dummy out.

| Quote ="ChinaBull"for the bulls, like GFS, Lilley bleeds RAB ... the Leeds cup game just proved it ... Lilley at 9 with segayrayarooo (that guy
) ... Gaskill 6 plus livewire half ... Holmes has to be FB and links really well ... of course i cant see our games just going on assumption (take my tupence worth a pinch of salt)'"
Firstly what a result. Went on Sunday very much expecting to get beat but praying for a better performance than Monday. Came away very much more hopeful for the rest of the season.
I was critical of Gaskell when we resigned him (off the back of the way he left first time around) but to be fair he has done well since coming in and it was nice to see a team that looked well balanced, disciplined and happy to be playing together.
I think our spine solution long term is there without the need to sign anyone. Personally I reckon we have 2-3 very good options...
Option 1 = FB - Jowett; SO - Gaskell; SH - Holmes; Hooker - Lilley/Segy
Option 2 = FB Holmes; SO - Gaskell; SH - Lawford; Hooker - Lilley/Segy
Option 3 = FB Holmes; SO - Gaskell; SH - Lilley; Hooker - Jowett/Segy
Patton shouldn't be seen anywhere near the first team in my opinion and someone else said it earlier... I might just have found our bad apple.
Remember once going to a conference and hearing a keynote by Stuart Lancaster who talked openly about getting rid of "energy sappers" from the dressing room. He never mentioned specific names, but said that no matter how talented anyone was, they had to have total commitment to the team rather than as an individual otherwise it had a negative impact on the team. Patton whilst talented no doubt offers very little to the team collective and needs to go.

| Great win yesterday a really great team performance, I think playing uphill in the first half was a big advantage and we just put them to the sword in the second half. I was fed up of going there and not seeing a win.

This 100%. In work and in my dabblings at team sports this is spot on.

| Hate to be a bore and it's already said above.
But remember when we signed Shaun Edwards in 97?
I was blown away, one of my fave RL players and probably the best 7 of his generation.
But came over to us and more or less single handedly destroyed the momentum from the year before.
That's what Patton has done since Arrival
A very talented player but if the rumours of his attitude are correct he will be lucky to get a gig at Keighley.

Injuries and suspensions really mounting up now.
Segayaro and Baldy gone for the year, likely to be Butler as well well. Taufua looking at 6 games minimum.
Just what we dont need at this point in the season.

| That's a brutal blow.
Interesting to see who we go with now as our spine.
I'd still like us to sign Segeyaro for next year.

| Watching the ViaPlay over and over if Taufua isn't cleared then there's something wrong with the official?
What the hell was the Barrow players forearm doing up and around the chin/mouth area in the tackle and just what did he think was going to happen when he used it as a lever on Taufua's face to lean back and try fold him in half?

| If Segeyaro is out for season I would like to see Lawford recalled and played with Gaskell in the halves with Lilley sharing with GFS. I think Baltieri has played hooker in the past at Catalans. As has been said I wouls like Segeyaro for next season.

Just because someone has there arm in your face, doesnt in anyway make it acceptable to bite it. Ref clearly says hes seen it. Tv pictures dont matter 1 jot. What do you think happens for games that arent on tv??
We will be lucky to see George in a Bulls shirt again id imagine.
(I hope im wrong)

| Given that the RFL always back their officials I can't see anything other than a lengthy ban for Taufua which is a shame as he adds a bit of presence on the wing. You need wingers that can make ground off a kick and who are tall enough to deal with cross kicks (sorry DFJ).
Losing Segeyaro is a bitter blow and he seems angry about it from his social media alleging it was a hip drop tackle. Looks like Lilley is the man for the hooking spot with Flanagan snr to see the season out. I'd put Gaskell and Holmes in the halves and Jowitt at fullback.
Not sure what's happening with Lawford. I'd have him back in a shot but the current coaching staff don't seem to rate him.

There's also Jowett to throw into the mix

| I's be interested to see what the "other direction" is next year if we don't think Segeyaro is needed. He's the best dummy half we've had in years.

| Disappointing to lose Segeyaro for the season if confirmed it might offer a lifeline to Patton.
I'm not big fan of Patton and wouldn't be offering him a new deal but let's not forget he was in the side when we went on our best run of form. I'm not sure I buy this 'bad apple' gone and suddenly we are transformed. There was a collective change of attitude and desire on Sunday and obviously Dec needs to buy into that if he returns.
Greenwood has coached Dec all season, would he really have kept picking him if he was such a 'bad apple' in the squad. Yes he is inconsistent, hot headed and yes he can overplay but I'm not sure restructuring the spine of the side to avoid playing him is necessarily the best option either.

| There is a lot sound reasoning and common sense in that quote. I'm getting worried you're morphing into Bullseye!

| With Segeyaro being out it opens the door for Patton, Jowitt and potentially Lawford. Jowitt's been going well in the reserves.
