I was thinking about going to this, seeing as the sun is shining. I have friends in Swinton too but I've just looked it up and they play in Sale. Which is the other side of Manchester. Is that right?

They are about 10 miles apart. It's 50 miles to Sale from Bradford.

Only just off the M60 ring, but coming from Bradford as you are it is the other side of manchester, just need to follow it further round past trafford centre, im just outside swinton so isnt a great disatance.

You are right, they are over near the Brooklands tram stop, Sale football ground now but used to be Sale Sharks. Not sunny here just now either!

Team is looking much better although lilley will be a loss. We still may be a few weeks away though which we really don't have to spare.

I used to see this black fella at Odsal in the crowd. He always had a leather jacket and a flat cap on but was always glued to the wireless at his ear.

I don't know who he was but he sure loved his rugby and was one of those legendary characters you remember for life.
