| I like the new top, I think it looks quite modern. Will be interesting to see what it looks like from a distance, I think it will appear closer to a Widnes/Hull FC shirt.

| Quote ="mystic eddie"In that case why don't they make, say, 5 design templates and then encourage the fans to vote on their favourite design? Not every year I accept but at least it would give the fans a say in the shirt, given that they are are the intended consumers of the product. Surely this would be a good marketing idea?
Failing that, I reckon we should let Bullseye design it each year.
'"
That's a decent idea - so long as the delay doesn't impact too much on the delivery date and no extra costs are involved in producing the designs. There's certainly something to be said for giving people the notion they've had some input, though if there are five designs to choose from you could finish up with the winner on around 25% of the vote and with 75% of the shirt buying public peeved about the result and maybe [iless[/i inclined to buy. As in, I would have got one, if they'd only gone for the green and pink one with the gold stars all over it...........
Incidentally, did anyone else read the statement on the website: "[iThe brand-new jersey – along with a fresh-look clothing range – is to be made exclusively available to BELONG 2014 season-ticket holders as of Monday, November 18, before going on general sale on Friday, November 22.""[/i to mean they were available today Mon 18th to people who have paid for a season ticket - cos they're not!

No, I think it looks very smart and one of the better home shirts for sometime. You'll never please everyone though, even if they did a vote you'd probably get a couple of shirts that about 30% of the fans like and the other options getting the rest of the votes. Would fans then moan that their 'favourite' didn't get picked and then not end up buying the final shirt because they wanted another? I don't think the club will win on this matter. Perhaps the vote for a shirt idea is worth a trial but I wouldn't hold my breath on it being the answer to this annual debate!!

No probs mate, in fact your final point sums up the truth of the matter: the club won't win, no matter what. Damned if they do and damned if they don't.

| I'm jealous of the Catalans designs, for the second year running.
ISC are obviously capable of designing a cracking kit - so why do the british clubs constantly pick the same/naff designs?
That Saints away top has to be one of the most uninspiring shirts I have ever seen.

| I have disliked every shirt we've had for at least a decade. This is the best one imo for many a year. Many of you seem to like the sort of tacky looking crap we've produced in the past, which only serves to make me feel vindicated for hating each and every one of you.
This only goes to show that there is absolutely no chance of getting consensus as to kit designs on here.

| No chance of getting concensus? Mmm, well yeah, 'twood be a funny old world if we could, to be honest and that statement is worthy of the much vaunted and sought after STBO [Statement of the Bloody Obvious award for 2013.
My opinion,FWIW is that the design is neither brilliant nor poor but just like all the others, I'll buy it anyway 'coz it's my teams shirt. Seems a good enough reason to me..

I don't think it's that far-fetched to broadly agree on when a shirt is either good or bad. Instead we are annually polarized which isn't the case at all clubs. If you were a saints fan it appears that they are inexplicably perfectly happy to spend £50 replacing their white shirt with red vee, with a white shirt with red vee.
What is the last shirt where we virtually all liked it? Vaux hoop one?

Yep, liked that one. For another one we might have all liked how about the 2001 skylark red amber and black V shirt? (colours in the right order, proper collar and everything)
I quite like this years home, far far better then some of the last Kooga "efforts." Just hope they dont go too nuts with the away shirt.

I liked the 2001 one. I understand Leeds are doing two versions of their shirts, one with player style neck and one with collars. I understand the lack of collar for actually playing in, but I personally would always prefer a collar on the leisure-wear version so this seems incredibly sensible.

For sure they incorporate a red V somewhere on the shirt but they move it around and re-size it sufficiently to enable their own fans to know who has the new one and who hasn't, even if the logos don't change.

Well yeah I get that. But ting around with the same red vee seems cheap to me. However, I am not intimate with the history of the Saints club so I can only guess that whilst we are "red, amber and black" and can do whatever we want with it, Saints aren't "red and white" but are in fact religiously "White with red vee" so can only ever tinker with it.
Arguably we get better value for money because we have a wider range of possibilities for design, even if we then bicker amongst ourselves over how worthy they are.

| Just got back from Odsal - not ram jam full but doing a brisk trade. Sizes seem like last year, ie a bit on the small side so, if you're normally large think XL, or like me 2XL.....

| Looking at the picture in the club shop, and working down from the top, we do seem to have red, amber and black hoops, albeit in different widths and a white band in between.

| The offer to get anything from the 2013 range for £10 when you buy something from the 2014 range is great, picked up a big thick black winter coat for £10, can't believe it.
Disappointed that the white polo shirts had ink problems again for my size but can't grumble really and at least we spotted it before we left the shop. You would think ISC would sort it out after the issues from last year.
Home shirt looks good

| Just below the collar there is a red band. Granted it doesn't go all the way round, but it is there.
