From the game i watched yesterday I didn't think Sykes and Pryce played particularly badly. All the tries yesterday came down our left flank or down the middle. Sykes did his bit in defence coming inside swapping with Jeffries. Pryce did look a bit uncomfortable at times though, Sykes put a nice little pass through to him 5 yards out, he should of steamrollered the guy on the line but failed to score

Langley did his bit but we definitely missed Elima.

Well tbh Salford played very good rugby, we didn't and made too many mistakes. Should have had at least 30 points. Still annoyed as to where that leaves us for the upcoming 2 weeks.

Can't see Gale being fit for next week. He was on crutches down by the Coral Stand at the end of the game talking to Purtill.

Can anyone tell me where the real Jarrod Sammut has gone. Where is the jack in the box, off the cuff, gamebreaker that we signed. Perhaps its just his new haircut has made him like look all the rest.

Gale started back in light training last week. He's not due back til hudds game. Were going to struggle badly if jeffries is ruled put for any length of time. Sammut isn't an organiser and can't really see who else in team can fill the role.

Jeffries is going to be out for a couple of weeks.

I expect to be shot down on this, but what about Callum Windley from the U20s?

Has looked okay in u20s but its whether he's ready for SL especially against a big pack and an in form team.

If were looking to u20s aswell how has that Elliott kid done we signed from Leeds? Only 18 I think though.

Didn't he go off injured in Salford u20's game? Or was that game before?.

I would rather see Jordan Aitchison over Windley.

My thoughts on yesterday's game are these:

1. Accept that young players are going to make mistakes. Yes, Burgess had a shocker and gifted Salford two tries. He's 19. Two weeks ago everyone was angry at Potter that he didn't get more game time. If you're going to play Burgess, Bateman, Addy, Whitehead, Crookes etc (which I hope we continue to do) then they're going to make some mistakes. We have to live with it. They'll learn.

2. The bounce of the ball when Crookes fell over was evil. Nothing to be done about it.

3. We saw the 'other' Karl Pryce today. I heard fans at the start of the game criticise Potter saying that he'd never have played Pryce if he had a choice. I would hope that was true. It's a shame Ainscough got injured in the U20's this week, because Pryce should lose his place.

4. Everything Salford did payed off for them. They did incredibly well for all those passes to come off. Sometimes that just happens. They'll try that another week and knock on every other set.

Bradford weren't as bad as the scoreline suggested. A few mistakes from young players, and a few unlucky bounces. This is not "last year all over again". I still say get Potter signed up for next year now.


Also, and I'm not usually one for criticising referees, but the officiating all round was absolutely awful, consistently throughout the game. That's not why we lost though.

Was good to see Mark the dancing man for the first time in ages yesterday.
