Don't forget too that, on top of the pledges, you'll still have the income from those who have posh membership in the posh black seats in the stand and anyone in the Coral Stand (excluded from the £99 offer)'"
No you wont.
The general tenor today in the so called "Premier" bar was one of mistrust regarding future prices. Most of us signed the pledge .. minimum £99. Ok we expect to pay a bit more than that for the premium seating area. We were told that details about the cost of seats in the black area would be forwarded to us later. Oh yes ?
If ticket prices for these are not reduced commesurately then there will be an aweful lot of people jumping ship into the red and amber seats at £99 instead of paying £266 for the blacks.
It remains to be seen if the club has anticipated this scenario.

Must admit that thought did occur to me as soon as I read that the pricing applied to all except the Premier seats.

| My pledge is made - 2 adults, 2 children.
And considering getting another ticket too - it would be good to have a spare for any visitors.

| Is there going to be a 'countdown clock' to see how many you sell? I'd like to keep track of it. I reckon with kids (am I right in thinking they don't count to the 10k?) you will get around 13-14k ST holders. Saying that, I am ever the optimist!

| I've pledged and also convinced my brother who said earlier this season the Bulls would have to pay him to watch the fare on offer at Odsal.
I've been critical of Hood but it has to be said it took guts to walk on the pitch and deliver that message after the run of form during his tenure. Not only that the response to this season appears to be genuinely progressive. The scheme is a brilliant one, the appointment of Mick Potter is the right one, I think and securing the money for him to spend the full cap also deserves credit. The groundswell of warmth for the club in the city is absolutely huge and this could be a massive turning point.

| And its not just on here (hoping BMU's valid point is resolved satisfactorily) that pretty well everyone is very positive about this initiative. The comment elsewhere from neutrals (and even on the T&A) has been pretty well universally positive .
Well done Bulls - first time in ages with a widely-applauded and genuine groundbreaking initiative. And they delivered on a promise to do something to make the fans very happy - big-time.
Spot on Maislebugs - I think that sums it up very well indeed.

| Sorry, I really don't wanna read 4 pages right now, so apologies if what I say has already been mentioned. Will give my thoughts anyway though.
First and foremost, what a deal. I expected the "sell 10,000 and they're cheaper" bit, but I didn't expect it to be as low as £60. That is an awesome price.
I don't think we're going to have the slightest problem shifting 10,000 of them. Every single Bulls fan I've spoken to is going to get one (which includes season ticket holders and those who go to only "some" games a year). I have every confidence we'll get nearer 15,000 than 10,000.
The only way to think about it is that if you're going to attend only 4 games in the year, a season ticket is actually cheaper. That is incredible value. You get the ticket cheaper for those games and if you're at a loose end on another sunday afternoon, you can pop along to another game, basically free of charge.
I don't know if anyone is criticising this deal, but if they are, you've gotta seriously wonder what it would take to please these people.
I do however have ONE minor small criticism. I pledged within an hour of leaving the game yesterday through the website. I would have liked to have got some sort of acknowledgement e-mail back just to confirm it's been received. Knowing how reliable IT systems can sometimes be, there's a very small worry in the back of my mind that I have no idea if it worked or not, and come October 4, someone is going to turn round and say "no, sorry, we don't have your details as a pledge so you're paying full price".

I suspect the club have taken this into account. They probably expect that for every 100 people that pledge, there's probably 5-10 of them who will change their mind and not pay up.
I'm sure they're ok with it if that happens as they'll still shift 9,000. (Although I still reckon there'll be well over the 10,000 mark anyway, so we'll end up at least 10k WILL pay up).
If any Bulls fans pledge to give the money though and then change their minds, they should be ashamed.

As commercial enterprises they would probably charge for advertising. Maybe not The Pulse, but certainly Real Radio. They'd sell grandmas if they could make money on 'em.

In my conversation with the club yesterday they said that the scheme has the backing of the pulse and the T&A. I also mentioned to them about people pledging and then not buying, and they acknowledge that this is a possibility but they will have contact details on non-payers, and they will be contacting them to let them know they have entered into a contract to buy at £60, so if you pledge and don't buy the club will be breathing down your neck! But who would pledge and then not buy at £60? Less than £5 a game? Cheaper than paying on the gate to see Bulls vs Leeds, Wigan, Saints and Warrington? You'd have to be a loon not to take up this offer!

| The more you think about it, the more you realise what an amazing deal this is. Non-Bulls fans might be buying so they can come and watch Saints, Leeds, etc play. Fans of other lower league RL clubs might be buying to come and see the odd Bulls game. I already know of one Halifax fan who is getting one as he fancies coming to watch a few matches.
Brilliant idea!

| Would suspect a pledge counter will be a good idea but possibly not at moment. Is it too early with people pledgin by so many different methods that make counting them hard? Thinking in particular of the leaflet you can pledge by. The staff probably got loads of these after yesterdays game

| The pledge will surely help give us the edge in some of the signings we are looking at
Thinking in particular of 'Dowes to Wakey or Bulls' quote. The prospect of playing in front of 10k, 12k, 15k every home game must be appealing

| I personally wouldn't have a pledge counter at all, until the 10,000 is hit.
If it was a low figure, people may not pledge, thinking "why should I? It doesn't look like it's going to get there". Best to wait until it hits the mark, or at least until it's close to hitting, then announce it. That way people who haven't already signed up, are thinking that if they do, they're pretty much guaranteed to get one at £60.
Putting up a counter until you're anything near the figure is only going to put people off.
